I'd say Tarvin has the most unusual name out of all my characters. But Arber comes as a close second.
Show me your ocs with unusual names! Things like numbers, abbreviations, nouns, etc. Just things that aren't usually used as names! I love these types of characters.
Super obscure/odd sounding but real names may qualify too.
All my characters have made up names except Astrid... and maybe Leonn, which is just a slight distortion of a real name... and MAYBE Klausse, distortion of a real name as well.
Anyway, this is Makaeme Lycanet. Some other weird names I have are Geoxi Vesper, Ruuke Apollis, Cynth Felinson, and Appelon Arachnome. :3
Would a middle name count?
Dave has this middle name for two reasons. The first is to prevent confusion with an infamous furry artist of the same name upon Google searching. The second is to describe who he is with one word. As it is in Gaelic, it tells that he originates from Celtic blood. The word itself means savior, which describes his role in the story he is featured in.
I'm not very original sometimes with names, and temporary nicknames tend to just. Stick. I have one character who started out just being reffered to as "MoonMoon" and now that's her primary name, even though her actual name is Celeste. Most people would get confused if you called her Celeste instead of MoonMoon, or even MM!
I also have a Crow, and a Sugar, but I honestly think that my most unusual is Arkolite Kage Ezekiel Suuchi-Arksend. Arkolite is actually her lineage name, for her mom's species it's normal to refer to bloodline first as descended from one of three brothers. Kage is her first name picked by her mother who was very into Japanese stuff at the time, Ezekiel is the name she got because her father wanted to name his son Ezekiel, Suuchi is the name from her father's side, and Arksend is from her mother's side.
Poor child basically just suffers from "my mom just doesn't know how to name kids properly" syndrome.
amber's actual name is "AB601-X", which is her reference code. she goes by amber as it was given to her as to make sure she "knew herself" at a young age and had a sense of identity.
This guy has both number and....his 'name' is an adjective in Russian language meaning 'Persistent'. He's personification of an actual destroyer in the Russian Navy hence I don't feel the need to make a human name for him.
