Q: What is their writing style like?
Zy isn't that great at writing in general, and he's also not that great of a reader either. He never learned how to write as a child and was taught by his wife after they got married. He also only knows how to write using the English/German alphabet since that's his wife's native language, so he has no idea how to write in the alphabet of his home world or even how to properly spell his own name using that alphabet. The way he writes his name is the "English" phonetic approximation that he and his wife came up with.
He doesn't really write unless he absolutely has to since he doesn't really like doing it and isn't great at it. The most he probably writes aside from memos and notes would be letters or messages to his son, Volkmar, or sometimes his brother-in-law. Zy doesn't think he has any "writing style" since he hardly knows how to write well in general, but Volkmar would probably describe his writing as identical to his speaking patterns. He tends to be very blunt and concise with his sentences, but he also has a habit of repeating things in different ways. He also uses the word "so" a looooot, like "it's so familiar," "I'm so used to it," "there's something so wrong about it," etc...
