even tho i love the concept of robots, this is the only robot oc i have.
Belongs to a species called Re-Peat bots ;P
What the title says! I have an affinity for robotic characters: whether straight-up robots, cyborgs, or androids, I love them. Cartoony like Tom Servo from Mystery Science Theater 3000, or like Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell, I just like them robots...
I have a couple of robotic OCs myself. Eiji is a cyborg, his entire body prosthetic asides from his organic brain and spinal cord. He's based off of the Ghost in the Shell series by Shirow Masamune. Sphygmo is another fancharacter, based off of the Osmosis Jones series. They're actually a medication, just portrayed as a robot~
Bombs away!
I made a character sheet for Naiad yesterday.
She's technically an android though it doesn't seem to make much difference in the 'verse. :D
My game master's been rather closed-off regarding androids in that setting because the character herself doesn't know much of her own and her culture's history, but I'm kinda assuming that they MIGHT be human souls in an artificial body because whoever's building them is going out of their way to make them as close to human sensorally, physically and intellectually as possible and this feels like the only reasonable motivation for doing so, seeing as the setting is a mix of sci-fi and magitech.
She is artificial though. Artificial skin with a mechanical underlay. No genitalia. Can't sweat - instead relies on an internal cooling system. Doesn't eat, but does consume water and android-specific fluid solutions to keep her internal workings in order so you could say that she has a rudimentary metabolism.
Aarix might look entirely robotic in thier art but what youre seeing there are thier hard light augments!-- armour made of solid holograms, pretty much. They're organic under there... At least partially. Thier actual biological body is very heavily augmented with structural reinforcements, digital enhancements, and emitters for thier holographic armour, weapons, prosthetic wings, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Thier nervous system is just as much digital as it is organic... So yea depending on Ur definition, they're a cyborg :v
After a liiiitle bit of thought, I realized Cato sort of fits in this category. His species is unknown, but I'm starting to think he's probably something at least partly artificial. Not even he knows exactly what he is, or even how old he is.
His legs are completely robotic from the knee down, and he has strange tubes throughout his body. They're filled with a weird yellow-y liquid and seem to be indestructible. His skin, which has a texture closer to a really firm gummy bear than actual skin, is also... not quite right. Sure, it can be cut and stabbed and mutiliated, but it doesn't really affect him in any way. He doesn't bleed. There's a nastly little "schlorp" noise and then within a few minutes... the wound will close right up as if nothing had ever happened.
Strangely enough, he also doesn't really feel pain. At least, not as intensely as a normal person would. More just a vague sense of discomfort. He feels all other sensations normally enough, though. Some sensations he even feels more intensely than he probably should.
He's my strange, goopy boy.
Here's my boy Ezekiel. He's not entirely a robot or cyborg, but close enough since he has a bionic eye and a robotic leg.
I also have this guy! I haven't come up with a name yet, but they're a cyborg.
aa i only have 1 android! originally he started off as my nier automata oc with the name 83A, but idk he just sorta changed we're gonna be adding him into a game, so i should probably develop him soon sdjkfhk
Aoi is a persona that I have yet to officially start hashing out, but she is an android who has been built for the purpose to keeping her owner company. her programming allows her a will, and for her to think for herself, but what she lacks the most in is emotions. She understands the logic behind them, and what can cause such feelings, but she-- at the moment-- cannot experience any.
