Characters more well-liked than you expected?

Arabelle. Oh god, all my friends love her. People always tell me she's adorable. She've been the character other artists pick the most to draw (which really confuses me, because birds are not a common subject, most people are experienced drawing canines, felines, dragons, humans, idk. But when a canine only artists chooses to draw Arabelle. NOW THEY MUST REALLY LIKE HER)

But why actually? Her design is super average to me. Just because she looks like the real thing, a moluccan cockatoo xD Her colors was more realistic when I first created her. But when redoing her ref. I noticed I didn't like the dark footsies and beak, it took the soft and light aesthetic away. So here she is now, with the bluish grey parts!

Maybe people like her bow? Maybe they like her because she acts like a dumb and naive baby (ok, I have to admit I always love characters this kind) But damn, she doesn't even have a role on my world! However, there is a friend that got really inspired by her, and he gave me some cool ideas.

Anyways, idk, I have to thank everyone that have made a comment about her. Would I like my other characters to be loved? Yeah. But the fact people like something made by me is enough, it just makes me so happy. <3

I didn't expect this dude to get that much love when I first made him, but ig he's gotten a bit popular recently?? I mean, I use him a lot for forum games, so it'd probably explain a lot lol- it just surprises me because I'm not used to getting a lot of attention for my characters in general + he's such a bitch that I always felt like people would take him the wrong way and see him as, well, an asshole. either way, I'm just glad that people like him, not only because this is the first time a character of mine has gained any sort of prominence but also because he's saturated with lore so it kinda validates my character development efforts in a way lmao-

people also seem to oddly like Mikhin and Poffin too?? they're not that well-developed compared to my human characters (at least not yet), but ig "cute wholesome creature" factor wins in the end. I'm by no means bitter about it, but that fact certainly surprised me when I realized how popular they kinda were. :")))

Literally when i made him, I made him basically a betrayer to another one of my ocs. I made it for a stupid reason too, so maybe people wouldn't sympathise with him.

Then people started liking him and I'm so conflicted on how to feel LMAO

This is my baby girl Valiant. I initially bought her cause I thought she would make such a cute comfort bby. I sketch her out a lot, especially in class :P. Even if her profile is basically empty ( as her characters isn't as fleshed out yet, people seem to really like her design. I really hope to finish up her Bio in the future, as she is one of my favorite characters as well <3 

Her, because quite frankly she’s a quite creepy character and a huge b*tch with many trigger warnings. Which doesn’t mean I’m shaming anyone who’s interested in darker themes or characters like that (I made her, so lmao!) but I wasn’t really expecting anyone to put up with it tbh?

I think the reason why people gravitate towards her is that she’s very FxF friendly and an incredibly dominant persona, looking and acting the part equally. She falls appearance-wise into the type of woman many people just happen to like I guess (curved body, mysterious femme-fatale look). Story-wise I think it’s just easy to feel pity for her.

I honestly didn't expect the amount of love he got! I love him to bits, but I didn't think that others would so much, ya know? He's an oddball!

While his TH and dictionary entry might not have a lot of likes my deviation from his reference has been getting pretty consistent favorites since i've made him and i've had people randomly message me to say how much they like him, which means a lot to me since he is one of my favorite ocs. I really only made him for myself and wasn't expecting him to have any sort of popularity but I am glad others enjoy him too~
