Got both 'Agnes' and 'Prentiss' from The Magnus Archives.
Believe it or not, but I looove characters whose names are jokes, puns, and/or silly references to random stuff! I have some of them myself and I would love to see yours too! ♥ So feel free to post them here (or list them if you have many), and explaining the joke or references if you think it's needed :D

posie. like ring around the rosy, pocket full of posies... the nursery rhyme is commonly associated with the black death, though I don't believe there's actually historical proof of that and it's just a very common idea. though it is true that plague doctors would use herbs and flowers to ward off the plague and the unpleasant scents that come with mass illness and death!
i Would have named her rosie, but i already have a rosie. i like pink and flowers, sue me

encore.. named him that bc he's a trans bard, and encore is defined as "a reappearance or additional performance demanded by an audience" and. well. transitioning is essentially reappearing with a new identity. and it's a musical term too. hehe
Is a Pokémon main character, only instead of his name being a pun on the game title or a flower, it's a pun on a mineral.
I have a lot, so here's some notable ones:
Nakeiki's name is a pun on "nā keiki", which literally means "the children" in Hawaiian (a reference to her backstory, referring to her and her adoptive father being children at heart).
Martha Washington is a clone of Martha and not Martha Washington. I just thought it would be funny if she, a literal pigeon, thought that she was the clone of the first First Lady of the US instead of the pigeon (and everyone believing her until they find out who Martha Washington really was).
Paulina was named after the PC 500 and PC 1000 armor-piercing bombs (nicknamed "Pauline/Paulina" and "Pol" respectively) used by the Luftwaffe during WWII. This is a pun on how peregrine falcons are able to dive-bomb at very high speeds as well as the fact that she is German.
