A simple and sweet concept for those who are second-guessing their Character designs. Simialir to a Character Rating thread, this will more focus on the Design rather than the backstory or any information of the character. That way you can secure a great design before you set them up in a story or even an RP. (I do realize many people prefer to get their story done before locking down on a design, but this is for those who don't or are just looking to get advice on their designs.)
Rules
❀This is a friendly thread where others look for advice. Unless they want harsh critiques, please be respectful.
❀Try to avoid rating the same character multiple times.
❀The Character you post to be rated must have a Full-Body piece of art.
❀NSFW Characters are allowed to be shown here, just give a warning in your comment.
❀Rate the Character, not the art.
❀Ratings are given out of ten with an explanation. If you don't do so, you will get a warning.
❀Only post one character at a time by using the IC option.
❀Do not post Characters that do not belong to you.
❀Please put effort when it comes to rating a character. Don't just slap in "I like their colors!" as the only reason. Go into depth and try to find both the pros and cons of each design. If you want people to explain their ratings with good reasoning, do the same. A minimum of 3 sentences would be a good rule to go by when it comes to rating a character.

EXPLAIN RATING: I do love the colors, though the face design looks a little plain compared to the rest of the character. I would suggest adding some accessories or maybe even spicing up the face with a unique mark? Maybe a cute black mole in the shape of a heart under her right eye?

EXPLAIN RATING: well, the hairstyle looks very cute and its not something i see very often, and it goes well with her jacket BUT what dunked some points happened to be the bright pink tutu. Its color crowds the rest of the mellow blue/grey/yellow design and it just kinda looks out of place for me.

EXPLAIN RATING: Zephyr is overall a very good looking character, I like his color combo, they aren't hard on the eyes and work extremely well together, I find them very pleasing personally, the fact that he is neither overly complex or too simple is a win for me as well, I believe he is pretty well balanced, also, cool hair!

EXPLAIN RATING: the outfit he wear looks good and simple appearance, i think there is something missed about the red hoodie, like put on a bit of details including a badge or patch. The colour choice fit his personality becoz he's really meant to be a mentally ill guy. The mask design is executed well to make it look creepy

EXPLAIN RATING: While the red and green combo might be good, they have similar shade and hue. Maybe the main color of the character should be a bit more brighter or darker so it would give a contrast. The hair is good , there is a silhouette given for it. Since the character lacks any full body for a reference, I hope there is one made for the character since it's a bit empty what is the character wearing. It seems the character wears a sweater or similar, but what about the others, pants? skirts? or something, it kinda gives more questions of what is the outfit of the character.

EXPLAIN RATING: sorry I'm just a sucker for forh characters- well normally I dont like SUPER goth characters but idk why I just like this one I rlly like the belts that he has all over his body also THOSE SHOES ARE PERFECTION ONG💘 i also like his skull belt and the red marking on his face lol- overall a rlly good design :)

EXPLAIN RATING: I think Venena is very cute. Her design is a little plain for me, but that may just be my personal preference. The clouds on her hoodie make for a good pattern and are the main defining/differentiating trait of her design, but I'd like to see more traits like that. Even simple design like in demon slayer, usually has some extra traits like special eyes, hair, birthmarks, mouth bamboo, slight alternations to the uniform, etc. I actually like the blue and yellow combo for the top. I don't think I've seen many characters with this combination of colors, but I like it. Might even use it myself sometime in the future. The bottom half is mostly black and as such is more devoid of color. IDK if this is actually a thing in character design, but I try to distribute all the colors in my characters in a balanced fashion (relative to their prevalence in the design). Maybe making the socks yellow might help?

ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT CHARACTER: I hope you can get the vibes of the character just by their design. I also hope the design isn't dumb. IDK. I'm looking back on my designs and find myself not liking them as much as I did when I made them/wanting to make some changes. Maybe I'll do a redesign for all my characters instead of just Minea.

EXPLAIN RATING: I like her design! It isn’t dumb at all, so don’t worry! It reminds me of a Pokémon gym leader or Pokémon villain mini-boss which I personally greatly enjoy, but doesn’t quite sound like what you were going for based off her description. Although the aesthetic does make her feel like a badass villain. I think it’s the full combination of the same orange-colored accents on all her clothing, along with the fingerless gloves, team rocket grunt hat, and splash of stripes that give her a Pokémon vibe if that helps any. The only things that seems off to me are 1) that it’s not immediately clear if the stripes are part of her pants or just an adornment and 2) her face lacks expression, so there’s not much indication of her personality. But overall it’s a fun and unique design!
