Kitty looks like the type to say the opposite of what she means by mistake when she's embarrassed as a sort of defense! She likes cute things a lot, but because they're kind of embarrassing for her to mention, words of reject and disgust come out instead of her real feelings!

I think Claudia low-key regrets her slight tantrum that gave her powers. Sometimes she thinks she just should have been happy for her sister, and not have been so jealous. Because she feels like it was a grave mistake, she is determined more than ever to try to train her new-found powers for good.
