Listen to the song from the user above you!

Heya! Figured I'd start up a thread like this as I abolsutely love finding various music, and noticed there isn't a thread for this here yet! Plus, thinking on it, a good few of my OCs are inspired by some songs and music in general, and it never hurts to be on the hunt for more music to check out!

Basic Rules:

1. The person above you will link you a song to listen to!

2. Give your thoughts on it - is it something you liked, or is it just not your cup of tea? Did it inspire you to make an OC on the fly? Feel free to express this as much or as little as you want! (Please be respectful and civil in your reply, though.)

3. In the same post, link a song for the next person to listen to!

[edit] 4. If you're next in line, please claim before going ahead; I totally missed out due to IRL things going on, I realize some people might of been Ninja'd! So let's try to avoid being ninja'd from now on <:"D

EDIT; PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Heya! I've gotten a few concerns from people that go through this thread that some may of been a bit disrespectful about one's tastes in music. Music is something it's obvious not everyone is going to like the same thing, but I must remind you to PLEASE, be respectful to the person above you when having shared music. If it isn't your thing, please be kind and simply say "It wasn't my cup of tea, sorry. I'm glad you like it though!" or something nice along those lines. Having someone be told the song you chose (which might even mean a lot to you on your own terms and reasons behind it) is horrible or nasty, can be a bit rude. Let's do our best to keep polite and civil here while we all jam out to some awesome tunes! Thanks!

All good? Let's get started! I'll link over a song for the first person to start things off!

First song: The Maddest Kind of Love, by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy

Guardy

Not necessarily what I'd stumble onto on my own, but I like it! It's catchy yet smooth, and I really like the vocals. Pretty sweet synths, too.

Dude was inexplicably popular in Europe for a while, and I still really love his music. The first album I ever got on CD was one of his, way back when.

Just listened to this and oh man - I can see why it must've been a very popular song; it's so catchy, even as someone that doesn't really understand the lyrics to it :"D It has such a good feels vibe going on; I'd have to add it to a summertime playlist I got sitting around somewhere :000

For the next person: A cover of Weird Autumn from Night in the Woods! I've been playing this a ton lately alongside some other songs to keep myself focused on some projects I have with a few OCs of mine; this cover just captures the feeling that i felt the original had - a bit jumpy and rebellious(??? is that a term? a music term?) and g ah i love it :"D

Ehh... I think it's pretty cool and catchy. However, it's not really the type of song I listen to, and also, I almost never listen to music that's past 5 Minutes and 10 Seconds, but overall, it's a pretty cool jam from the late 80's.

I'm back with another song from my favorite music group!

Swissy

I love Mili's music! The instrumental is intriguing and so is the lyrics. The singer's voice is rare to hear and it's honestly beauitful. Though soft, the words are understandable. like the way the singer sings the lyrics especially the latin word (i think it is latin? Correct me if im wrong). It feels really magical, like i can feel the wolf's sorrow and the witch's determination in the melody.

While im at it, here's my favourite song from my favourite composer/singer

I mostly only listen to japanese music when it's anime. Cool to listen to something that has a more traditional (?) feel to it. I definitely enjoyed it a lot. I love me some mellow beats!

It's a Pig

FriskyMeowlord

Not entirely sure on the context of this song in the rest of the production! But for some reason... I feel like context still wouldn't help. It is... very upbeat, like musical numbers tend to be. Which I actually don't like at all. Very silly.

Now, here. Explicit?

Sad stoner hours aside, I'm not gonna lie that the first few seconds were kinda hilarious for me for some reason but once you get pass through the chorus, it started to sound like... your headphones are playing tennis? It's not a bad thing, though! A nice bass is always good in my book. I listened to it twice with wearing headphones and without wearing it; it feels like some sorta weird experience whenever you wear headphones, though.

Maybe I barely pay attention to songs from the west, but I think the voice's too similar it didn't really have an impact as much how the bass in the instrumentals were something loop worthy, and a good bass is a big appeal when it comes to slow/ambient music or that's just me haha

Let's go back to weeb hell: How about Paradigm Box by Chiharu Sawashiro and Shunsuke Takeuchi? The Caligula Effect series has quite a plot I have almost neutral feelings about, but the soundtrack is something I'd cherish forever

Not into these kind of vocals, though this is something my mother would normally blast on her speakers any time of the day. It didn't really spark much to me since I'm the type to fall for catchy rhythms or smooth jazz, but I really love the use of strings here! The strings kind of reminded me of ICO's soundtrack in a way? The song doesn't sound bad, but frankly it's growing quite slow to me due to the vocals despite the sweet strings in this song.

Speaking of smooth jazz, how about Mari Ismary's Rhythm? I was always a fan of Bermei Inazawa's instrumentals and his choice of vocalists for his songs

It... sounded pretty good! It's not my cup of tea, but the music sounds very nice, and it has a nice aucoustic tune to it. I feel like the vocals are a bit too quiet? It's fine the way they are though, so it's not a problem to me.

Sorry I'm into Mili WAAAY too much, so here's their new song Rightfully.
