Your OC goes on a date with the OC above

Posted 6 years, 9 months ago (Edited 2 years, 9 months ago) by Archaeus Chartreuse PicklePantry

So hey, we've all wondered it.
There's kissing.
There's marriage.
But what about dating?

What if your OC dated the OC above?
Where would they go? How would they react? How did they even meet? Would they go on another date?

- NSFW stuff better go to PMs
- It's a game for all ages, but please post characters that are 18+ Ages must be listed
- It doesn't have to be a romantic date, either. It can be a friend date
- Read the other character's profile (show proof by writing the character's name in the post and at least one tidbit from their profile)
- Wait for 2 people before posting again, unless 5 days pass
- If 5 days pass you can reply to yourself, or you can pick any of the characters already listed on that page

I'll volunteer this guy since he's easy to please.

Gil Walker PicklePantry

( Siyu - It'd help if there was some info on your characters so people could know what to write for you! And there MUST be an age on them in this game, please keep at least the age rule in mind for next time!)

Gil felt very out of place next to Lorila. He'd only meant to look after her and protect while looking for a wanted criminal that wanted her, but the way things looked right now, with how she was dressed and this restaurant they were at, it sure looked like a date, didn't it? When was the last time he'd even gone on one? If ever?
As the host lead them to their table, he snuck a glance at Lorila. She was beautiful, there was no denying that, and she seemed nice, if not overly affectionate with already calling him pet names. But there was a lot of mystery to her, it served as a barrier preventing him from getting closer. Hopefully this dinner could not only put her in a better mood but get her to open up.
Once seated and left alone, Gil cleared his throat. God, this felt more and more like a date, and it made him feel more and more awkward. "So," he started. "Why don't you tell me a bit about yourself? Your files don't have much information on them, and I'll need all the help I can get in catching this criminal. You already know my name, I'm Gil Walker, a private investigator, so I don't exactly get the luxury of police help." He paused. "Uh, well I guess all that criminal talk can wait until after dinner. Tell me about yourself in the meantime, though."

 Adam Connery Fischer VioletVulpini

Adam had been waiting for the past few minutes on the street corner, watching the spot where his date sat in front of the cafe. He was... overcome by nervousness, to be honest. He hadn't been on a proper date for years. And this guy was very good-looking, which only made matters worse. But Adam knew that, frankly, waiting too long would make his date angry, and he didn't want to ruin the day for anyone. Taking a deep breath, he gathered what confidence he could find, and walked mechanically over to the little cafe table. When the other man made eye contact, his heart could have been described, perhaps, as "skipping a beat."

"Hello." Adam said, internally frustrated at his ever-stiff tone. "I am Adam Connery Fischer. You are Gil Walker, and we are on a date today, correct?"

Though conversation was far from Adam's abilities, he felt that all was going well after a few awkward moments where the two mulled over their menus in silence. Adam asked about Gil's occupation, and learned of many interesting experiences he'd had as a private investigator. "It sounds fascinating," he'd said, "but it would be stressful to have to handle such serious situations. Because people expect you to be right all the time, and you can't be sure that you do. Is that right?"

"I am trying to become a math teacher, but I am not sure if I have enough experience to do so by myself. Right now I am a teacher's aid." He explained, when asked the same. "Unlike mysteries involving people and motives, in math you can know when your answer is right. Although, I am finding difficulty with the children who do not seem interested in learning, sometimes. Perhaps I should have pursued accounting, but... when the students do want to learn, it is pleasing. I am glad to help them learn. I am not sure if that makes sense." He glanced away.

The coffees and cakes they ordered came soon enough, along with a lull in their discussion. Adam hoped he wasn't making things an interrogation, as he'd been told he tended to do. Though, he reasoned, since Gil was a PI, maybe he would prefer that? For his part, Gil was rather quiet, perhaps he could be described as cold, or dry. Though, Adam quite appreciated this, in truth, as he was guilty of much the same. Perhaps he should have considered their lack of lengthy conversation awkward, perhaps the other man considered it such, but for Adam's part, he found it comfortable. Gil had a face that Adam might describe as pretty, and seemed to be a mystery all in himself. In that sense, he almost embodied his job. Also, Adam was pleased with his clean sense of style.

As the date went on, stilted and walled-off as it may have been, Adam was content to experience it. So when it came to the end of their afternoon together, he gathered his things and asked, "We will do this again sometime. Correct?"

 Hakim Burnett Vapor

Two cold, stoic men, facing the world together... Too bad Hakim was "busy" fidgeting with his hands too much to look up at the man seated across from him, his dark eyes instead focused on the napkin as he folded it this way and that. Overhead, the sun was shining, the gulls were singing, and the sea breeze brushed over the golden sand. That was one pro to be found here, if Adam liked beaches so much-- which was honestly part of the reason Hakim dragged the other party here. Even if the "date" was awkward, he could have fun on the beach... Or something along those lines... Yeah, Hakim wasn't doing his very best to make an impression.

"I've not been to many beaches before. Maybe the ones on rivers, but none near the ocean." Hakim said to Adam, his tone of voice lazy. He bit his bottom lip as he stared at the wad of paper in his hand.

Personally, he found the heat irritating. He hated how his sweat caused his tunic to cling to his backside, and he hated how he had to guard his food from the seagulls. The waves were calming, sure, but he paid little attention to them, or to how the ocean glimmered on the horizon.

"I've heard you're looking to become a mathematics teacher. Is that true? Are you actually..." He fell silent for another moment, and this time he glowered. He placed the napkin on the table, finally. It had been folded into the shape of a butterfly. "Do you actually work with children now? That's... I mean, I'm not really fond of children." He didn't know whether or not to become more impolite, but he found children annoying. Whiny, smelly, slobbery. Until they had at least half of a brain cell, he didn't care about them. "I'm not sure if we would work out in that area. Gods know I was forced to come here for suitor hunting, but..."

Again, Hakim trailed off and leaned back. His expression was cold as he looked at Adam. "Teaching adults would be easier, I think. Adults in college, anyway." he commented, "Mathematics, though, is one of the better things to teach, as well. I've heard some people say that the ability to understand numbers is the best indicator of one's own intelligence. Reading is useful on that front, too, but I suppose not many people are fortunate enough to be, ah... be literate back home..."

He blinked as he studied Adam, searching for any change upon his face. After a moment, he turned away, looking across the quiet seaside bar.

"You know," he said, "If the people here were useful, they would have gotten us our drinks by now. It isn't like this shelter is crowded..."

i WILL write a follow-up post!

Hmmm porkchop

Diluvi would find one day to be a knock at her door. It was an unscheduled visitor, someone she'd never seen nor likely heard of, much less invite to her home, pounding away and violently mashing the door bell.

It was Hmmm, over all dressed exactly the same save for a pink sequins bow around its neck. It stood on its hind legs, jaws hung ajar. It held in its boothands a gorgeous bunch of bright bananas, that of which it drooled on. Particles of backwash encapsuled in Hmmm's gelatinous saliva tainted the pure peels. They were pretty slippery looking. Hmmm offered them to her with pride, grinning its finger-mangling teeth.

More or less forcing the bananas into her arms, Hmmm's joyful sniffing and gagging broke into an elated squeal as it procured a paper brochure from its pocket. It snapped the paper in its jaws, violently shaking it about before offering it to Diluvi.

It was a pass to a free your to the local water treatment plant not too far from here. Hmmm batted its eyelashes and licked its teeth, looking down at the toes of the boots on its hind legs coyly.

This was going to be the best date ever.
