Your OC goes on a date with the OC above

Posted 6 years, 9 months ago (Edited 2 years, 9 months ago) by Archaeus Chartreuse PicklePantry

So hey, we've all wondered it.
There's kissing.
There's marriage.
But what about dating?

What if your OC dated the OC above?
Where would they go? How would they react? How did they even meet? Would they go on another date?

- NSFW stuff better go to PMs
- It's a game for all ages, but please post characters that are 18+ Ages must be listed
- It doesn't have to be a romantic date, either. It can be a friend date
- Read the other character's profile (show proof by writing the character's name in the post and at least one tidbit from their profile)
- Wait for 2 people before posting again, unless 5 days pass
- If 5 days pass you can reply to yourself, or you can pick any of the characters already listed on that page

I'll volunteer this guy since he's easy to please.

Wraith Stormheart SpiritdragonRyuu

Well...he's trying, bless him ^.=.^

Wraith rubbed the back of his neck, he had no idea what he was doing.

He had invited Selene over for something eat and to watch some meteors that were going to pass over head tonight. He wanted to make it up to her for having a breakdown and running away from her several weeks ago. The problem was he didn't know how he was going to do that, his one seeing eye scanned the room he lived it, he had managed, with a lot of difficulty, cleaned up the place to make it look at least a bit presentable. Ordinarily he wouldn't care what his home looked like, but he wanted to show that he was trying to be a good friend and was making an effort, even though he struggled with that concept most of the time. He had to admit the place looked better, there was no dust and the floor certainly looked a lot cleaner than it was, even the dust piles of mats and blankets had been aired out. Wraith did noticed it was much easier to breath in the room with all the dust and dirt gone. Maybe he wasn't completely hopeless after all.

Now the pair were sat on the pile of mats Wraith had pushed up near the glass less window with two large pizzas on a crate Wraith was using as a table, it was the first time Wraith had gone out and bought food. He was thankful that they cooked the pizzas for him, he didn't own a oven, nor did he know how to cook due to his diet of raw rats or any other animal he could catch. He thought back to the situation he found himself in, sitting down with a good meal and a close friend. Was this what it's like to have a friend? Was this something that friends did? He wasn't completely sure but he found it pleasant. He had eaten a couple of slices of pizza, though he was clueless on how to hold a pizza slice and needed Selene to tell him, and was now currently staring up at the night sky as a shower of small meteors flew over the outskirts of the city.

-----------------------------

I left it on a bit of a cliff-hanger so it could go either way, Wraith doesn't go down easy due to his past because he's naturally cautious and always ready for a fight. If Wraith gets out of this he is going to be a very soggy and unhappy panther. Not to mention has more trust issues than before and never go on a date again.

Follow Up:

Wraith had felt on edge the whole time he was with this stranger, he had no idea why he agreed to this "date" as she called it, maybe because part of his felt like she was a threat and he needed to find out more. His suspicion only grew when a fire started in the restaurant and the women didn't seem to bat an eyelid at it. As they walked across the docks his panther instincts kicked in more telling him to prepare for.....something, he wasn't sure what.

SPLASH! Wraith suddenly found himself in the water, startled the shifter had transformed into his panther form and now noticed the true nature of the stranger. Snarling and using his claws and teeth he latched onto water creature before him, biting firmly around the neck and digging his claws deep into the torso, if he was going to die, he was taking this creature with him.

En Litari II PicklePantry

FloofyNuggets (Characters MUST have an age listed for this game! Please remember that for next time! Also, SpiritdragonRyuu seems okay with it, but for next time if you're going to kill someone's character make sure they're okay with it first!)

En was tense all over as he looked at Wraith. Another Siren, but it was clear she was full-blooded, and by the way she taunted those around them, it was definitely clear she fit in with the other Sirens. When the servants weren't looking she'd mess with things just to watch them struggle. At one point, she even tossed a cigarette near somewhere flammable. En clenched his fists. This wasn't right. He wanted to speak up, but knew that most of the Sirens wouldn't like his attitude, even if it was to help the servants. But he couldn't let this keep happening!
"You shouldn't do that," he finally said, a frown on his face. "They're working hard to make sure we're having a good time, and you doing all that isn't making ME have a good time. That kind of attitude is really gross. I don't know if you're having a bad day or if someone working here did something to you, but I think it'd be better if we reschedule our date for another time."

En stared at the charm resting at the palm of his hand, dazed. It'd been, what, a week since he'd gotten this? Since he'd seen Jun-ko, too... How was she, he wondered. Was she okay? Was her shrine still clean? He thought about it, but it always ended with that memory of her smile. Pursing his lips, he shook his head in a desperate attempt to shake off his blush. He shouldn't feel like this, it was silly! Jun-ko was just being nice to him for helping with the shrine, and it wasn't like this charm was a gift if he had to buy it from her! There was no way there was anything more between it, absolutely no way!
He told himself that, but when he looked forward he found himself back at the shrine! What?! Had he subconsciously walked his way back here the entire time?! Ohh, he shouldn't be here, it'd be better to leave! And yet his legs kept dragging him forward! Why?! Next thing he knew, he was standing right in front of Jun-ko, listening to her ask about why he was here. He gulped. Well... he was already here, no point in not asking, right? Who knows, maybe the charm will help here...?
"Not really," he answered back, his face a mess of red timidness. "I actually... I was wondering if you'd maybe... want to spend some time with me? Like a... date...?"
It was quiet except for the wind blowing.
This was a bad idea, he could hear himself say. Thisisabadideathisisabadideathisisabadideathisis--
What?
"What?" En blinked, voicing his thoughts. Did she just... accept? "U-Uh, y-yeah! Yeah to all of that!" he stammered, trying to remember how to breathe let alone talk. "Why don't we get some snacks first then see the performance? Then we could see the petals!"
Wow. A date. He actually had a date! Maybe this charm really did have powers!

Viper muichiro

Slowly, he sidled beside her, giving a small bump of his shoulder into her own. The atmosphere was rich with people mingling about, their quiet voices echoing throughout the center of what appeared to be a ballroom. In the vague distance, off in an adjacent room, there was the sound of a grand piano, and the boisterous laughter of those who had become on the verge of intoxication. White pristine walls with golden drapes and curtains decorating their surfaces held within their perimeters a night for aristocrats. It was a celebration. A party full of grandiose conversations and the neverending urge to boast about how much money one had.

What a man like him was doing here, nobody quite knew exactly.

He had wealth and he had cars to show for, certainly, but in the sea of tailored gowns and tuxedos, his raggedy choice of attire couldn't bear to possibly fit in. And yet, it was if nobody noticed, as if everyone around couldn't see the atrocity from the next street over has infiltrated their safe space. Which, perhaps, was the point.

With a margarita glass in his hand, he lifts the rim near her face, wafting it slightly beneath a nostril. "Remind me again. You drink, right?" There's amusement packed into his words, the ever so entertained grin never faltering. "Or wait, that's not acceptable for the women of this society, is it? No problem. I'll drink it for you and make sure to establish my dominance by staring others down while I do it." Rather than drink the contents, he returns the glass to his own person, then tips it over, pouring a strain of clear liquid onto the floor. A soft splash sounds out and his lips purse, akin to a forced fixture of mourning.

"You know, these parties really suck, but I asked you to come here for a reason, right? You see, I found out some things about you and your husband. Mainly your husband, but it might be things you're intrigued by too. They're kind of nasty things-- not to be confused with nasty as in, let's get nasty. But nasty as in.. somebody's gonna be disappointed. I thought about it and I decided that I wouldn't say anything. But the person leaking this valuable information just might. So, what do you say? We make some kind of trade off, yeah? I let you in on the crazy secret, and you, a woman of inherited power.. well, you do me a little favor."

(Platonic date at some rich party aka, suddenly ur blackmailed)

--

Beneath the table, he purposefully bumps his foot into him. There's no sign of it on his face, though he knows it might be annoying-- which was the purpose of it, after all. "You're making me sound like I'm doing more with the mummy than I actually am." Humor remains as ever, and he feigns a sigh, sitting up straighter. "But, mummy aside, I've done all kinds of things. Most of it is playing this cute little game called pleasantries, but then there's the filing of everyone's paths and organizing who is meant to fail and who isn't, and blah, blah blah. You really don't need to know all of that, do you? You can just read it in the paper. Boston is full of them." His foot knocks him once more, then draws away.

"Your friend though. Just who is that? I can't make any promises I won't purposefully make him stronger just to see that adorable look on your face when your mad, but I can see what I can do for you, yeah?~"

Kaine Arkanus PicklePantry

"That mummy friend of yours you sent after me was more annoying than anything," Ark said. "If you thought it was cute--" He paused to look up and down at Viper. "--Well, I suppose you would find something like that cute. I presume you knew the outcome before even telling them what to do? Sadistic, considering their memories." He cut into his food. "If you had just wanted to meet, you could have sent a message. But it's far too boring for you, isn't it? How ironic."
The restaurant was a simple, fancy one. Ark didn't care about where he went, but his default tended to always boil down to his rich roots. He lifted his fork, dully examining the slice of meet. Rare. He had asked for well done, though he used it as an excuse to think over something interesting: a man that could see someone's past, and a man that could (somewhat) see someone's future; a similar style of fighting their enemies; two men that were very alike, but also very different. It was a thought that amused him endlessly.
"A date is only as good as the conversation that goes on during one," Ark said after a moment, finally prying his eyes off the food to look at Viper. "Entertain me, then. We are both under the ideology that it's better to ruin people mentally than physically to befriend them and use their powers, or to watch them crumble under their own doubts. Beyond this strange mummy you spoke to, what else have you done? If I wanted to read your memories, there'd be no point in this dinner, would there? Besides, consider it trading tips. I've a dear friend who, though he's weak now, will undoubtedly turn into an obstacle. I need to crush him before it gets that far." He smirked. "Unless, of course, you'd like to try your hand at him? Perhaps you'll find it more fun?"

That's definitely what'd he'd do KEKEKEK You got him right! It was a great read, thank you!

Silas ★ FancyHatching

The incubus had started stalking the man for a while only to realize that it wasn't exactly possible to stay unnoticed, then "revealing" himself to propose a "date". It could hardly be called that, considering both participants weren't exactly fond of the whole concept of dating and romance. It was merely an encounter that Silas initiated because he was easily intrigued by a handsome and radiant person such as Ark. The most likely reason his presence was tolerated was his potential use for Ark as Silas was somewhat powerful and morally ambiguous.
Of course the incubus' end goal was a different one but that didn't mean he didn't enjoy an occasional get-together, flirting and talking. They met in a fancy bar, a place that Silas' picked. To his surprise Ark was quite pleasant, or at least pretended to be, he wasn't totally sure. There was always something intimidating about people with a lot of charisma but that usually didn't keep Silas from trying his luck with them. "I'm not sure yet what to make of you to be quite honest", Silas said with an intrigued smile, swaying his glass in a circular motion. "But I've been around a while and I'm just hoping to find something new. Anything new. Something exciting, fun even. Possibly dangerous. Maybe there's something you're looking for too and maybe there's a way we can help each other out. What do you think?".

(I hope this was alright, Ark isn't the easiest to implement in a date scene lol. I think the most logical scenario/interaction would involve Ark trying to manipulate and utilize Silas in whatever way he might find him useful)

(This was too cute not to write a follow-up to.. But Lena, dear, please don't waste your time on this one ; w ;   )

Silas couldn't get over how adorable his date was. He casually sat there and watched her the whole time while she was fantasizing, a huge grin on his lips. He'd met many girls and he knew that face they make when they're lost in thought. He chuckled when she was trying to mask her accidental compliment as a comment about the weather and would've kissed her in an instant if he wasn't afraid that might have been a little too rash. He felt her fingers brushing his hand and immediately responded to the touch, grabbing the delicate hand gently only to raise it and put a tender kiss onto it, with lips soft for those of a guy. It was a wonderful date, only her following words made him feel a bit bad for her. "Darling, you're gorgeous and I'm delighted to get to know you better. This day has been wonderful indeed but let us not ruin it by false hope and empty promises, yes? We can meet again if you want. But it's not a home I'm looking for I'm afraid. Not the kind of home you have in mind anyways". His implied rejection might have been harsh but he was a charmer, not a liar.

Lena Marclyn

Oh boy, dating an incubus now. Lena's been on many dates. Seen plenty of men. She's never had luck with any of them though. Ever. Always ends up badly. When will she find the one? Then there is this one... This was all so new to Lena. She has no clue what they are like. Don't they bed people to gain energy or some sorts? So why did Silas agreed to a date with her? Perhaps he swayed away from the incubus lifestyle and is seeking a romantic parnter! Lena signed happily. Can she be the one to change him?! Her cheeks reden with excitement as her heart flutters. She puts her hands together gracefully looking back at Silas, sitting across from her. Yes. Lena was always fantasizing. In her own little world, making things up. Always in the cringiest ways too. Though she never finds it cringy herself.

Yes. Back to the date at hand. Lena tries to refocus. Yes. They are at the park. Both agreed to meet there and have brunch. They laid out a blanket on a grassy area. Lena looks down at her dress and readjusts it, dusting it, though there was nothing there. More of being nervous and not knowing what to do with her free hand. Then back to him. Staring into his golden eyes. "So beautiful..." She catches herself saying it out loud and corrects herself. "Uh. Beautiful day isn't it? Is there something else you're looking for.... Maybe something more?" As she reaches her fingers towards his hands, slightly touching them. "Maybe there is more to life than just having a good time. Maybe you're looking for a place to call home..." As she gave him a warm smile. "I've been having a wonderful day. I hope you are too. Maybe we should see each other again?" Here's to her hoping.

"Yes. Yes ma'am. I am in college right now. Yes miss. I agree with you! Magic and science can co-exist! Yes Miss Rochester. Of course I'd love to be friends! I do not think you are too old to be gal pals!" As Lena spoke so politely and respectfully. Lena was yet again. In one of her fantasizing moments. As he gazed at the older woman she could only imagine the romance she's endured. Oh why were they out at sea together like this? Out at the port? Perhaps a long lost lover left her at sea? Maybe her true love died out there. And perhaps everytime Rochester felt the breeze it was like her lover's whisper to her. For reasons big or small. Lena will romanticize it and make it cringy. Oh wait? Did the older woman just mention mentor. Ah yes. She did say she is of science and research. She perhaps had mentees she's trained. Perhaps they were out there at sea. Spreading her vast knowledge across oceans. Wow. Lena just memorized in thought, looking into the elder woman's eyes. The knowledge and experience that little lady held in them. The glimmer of hope she still  has to keep training. The will to share her knowledge. Lena smiled happily listening to her.

Ace LostPocong

Today was going to be the first time a human would set their foot into Dantalion’s library. Having overheard Rochester express an interest in magic, Ace decided to invite her over to the place when the greatest of all magicians had recorded all her knowledge. “Okay, here we are, we just- wait, how do I do this…” Ace took off her coat and pinned it to the wall using some conjured nails. She made a presenting gesture towards the inside of the coat and said, “There we go, just step in there… I know it’s probably a little weird but," she reached into the enchanted fabric to demonstrate, “See? Like that. You have to go first. The portal will close behind me… but I can open a new one! So we’re not going to be trapped in there.”

On the other side, Ace and her guest emerged in the foyer of a huge library. Giant bookshelves stretched as far as the eye could see, and that was just one floor. The demon brought her guest to an unusually low table and said, "Please wait here a moment, I’ve picked out some books that might interest you. Oh, and I made some food too.” She disappeared into the labyrinthine side corridors of the library, coming back a minute later with some thick, iron bound books under one arm and a tray with a lid in the other.

“So, before we start, there’s a common misconception I want to clear up: Magic IS science. It’s unintuitive and complicated, but if you understand how magic works, it’s entirely predictable… Well, no less predictable than biology.” She took out a book labeled, ‘A brief introduction to magic’, which looked anything but brief. After the two had spend some time studying the tome, Ace asked, “Why don’t we take a little break?” She then put the book to the side and lifted the lid off the tray, it was filled with several kinds of (vegetarian) finger food. Roasted Potatoes, deep-fried mushrooms, flat bread and several kinds of dip. While pouring her guest a glass of water, Ace said, “I have some tiramisu as well. Tell me if you want some.”

Once they were done with the food, Ace asked, “I hope you’re not getting bored with all this magic stuff. If you want, we can read something else. What kinds of books do you like? History? Taxonomy? Maybe some romance? I got all kinds of books, so feel free to ask for whatever you want.”

Hala had said that this wasn’t a date, but was it though? Ace really wanted it to be a date and was determined to persuade the other party into considering it such. Though at the moment, she was too busy watching the performance. The music and atmosphere really added something she wishes she had for her own shows. Whenever she performed, she just had to work with whatever was available at the moment; Her uncertain schedule made it difficult to plan big events.

“Yes, I read a lot, sometimes several books in a single day. I have read some of your poetry, it was quite beautiful.” As Hala compared her profession to Ace’s, she interjected, “It’s very interesting!… Sorry for interrupting, but I believe writing is one of the most important jobs of all. It’s the only reliable way to preserve your thoughts and feelings for the future.” Noticing that her date was acting a little anxious, Ace tried to cheer her up, “You don’t need to apologize, why don’t you tell me a little about yourself?”

“Well, if it’s too much for you, find some help. Overworking yourself will do no good,” Ace said, aware that she was being a little hypocritical. She hadn’t slept in 5 days because of her excessive workload, but while she always made excuses for why such effort was necessary, she would object to any human doing the same. When the subject of magic was brought up, Ace responded, “None taken. Yea, it’s a lot of fun, though doing magic is basically what I was created to do… kinda. It would probably be more frustrating if I didn’t have this inherent talent.”

The food the two had ordered arrived and Ace took a moment to examine the chicken avocado salad she had ordered before noticing a faint smell. “I… don’t know if you should eat these,” she poked the flesh of the oyster with her forked and licked it before saying, “Don’t eat these. Why don’t we share my salad instead?”

“You should drink something, i hear they have some pretty good cider here, why don’t we try some of that?”

Hala Oidekivi Vapor

She didn't want to call this a date, even though she was repressed, and sad, and probably needed a date, but it definitely wasn't a date. Right? Something like that?

The table they sat at afforded a view of the stage below the balcony, where a young woman flipped and swung about from shimmering, white aerial silks, all the while brass and wind instruments boomed somewhere behind the curtains that surrounded her. The platform was glossy but dimly lit, torches and candlelight flickering in the darkness of the auditorium. Though Hala wasn't so enthused about the show, she did hope Ace felt the opposite -- especially considering she paid quite a bit for these seats. Not that she was short on money by any means, but...

"I hear that you're a reader." she said to the other party, seated across from her at the table, "I'm a writer, an author. That may not be as interesting as your work as a researcher, or your hobby as a performer, but..." She paused, brushing her hair back behind her ear. Though she had it tied back into a bun hanging by her neck, it was still difficult to keep it under control. Anxiously, she dug her fingers into the bun, and looked away, just as the music swelled. "That woman is a brilliant dancer, though, I'm-- I'm sorry I might not be of... any better conversation."

"I researched literature and history for some time, and I still do." she added, "My mentor, Sir Laferriere, he mentioned leaving a bit of the upkeep to our project to me, but that's so much work on top of my translating." Another pause. She eased out a more genuine laugh. "That's not as fun as studying magic, I'm sure. I've never considered that, though -- illusions and the like are a bit frowned upon back home. No offense to you, I hope! That's just the way things are."

She stopped, gazing back at the stage when the music faltered into a soft hum, and the woman in her sparkly leotard landed one foot after the other on the stage, arms spread out. Hala only watched the woman take a bow for a second, before glancing across the table between her and Ace. There wasn't a lot of meat, aside from her own barely touched oysters, which... smelled a bit strange to her. That was a con of getting shellfish from an inland restaurant, she assumed, but she didn't bother to mention it.

"If you drink, I can buy a glass for you, if you'd like." she then offered, "I'm all wine'd out, though, personally... Just let me know, though! I think the performances are about to switch out, anyway, so now's probably the best time."

hala dies.

Somewhere rather foreign, Hala stuck close to her fellow aristocrat -- not quite clinging to her hip, but she might as well be. She, once again, regretted not donning the proper clothing, her dress not being as insulating as it appeared to be, but regardless she let the older woman lead the way into the conifers.

"Well, you should know that I'm always happy to spend time with you, madame." said Hala, "I need the walk, anyway. Exercising is... a bit painful, but I know I shouldn't be seated at my desk all day. I hear it's a risk factor of gout... I mean, I don't know if that's true, but..."

Hala lagged somewhat behind Walker, then, partially to catch her breath, partially to take in the scenery of the woodland enveloping the duo. She supposed the walk wouldn't have much of an improvement on her health, considering that as soon as their outing was over with, she would return home and sit in her office for seven more hours, before retiring to her chambers. Maybe she would bring home a few cups of tea to keep herself company, which speaking of...

"Tea would be delightful, yes, madame." she agreed, letting out a soft laugh, "I can't ever tell if you actually liked the pumpkin spice tea or not, though. I can order a drink for you instead, if you'd like... I think you would like a cup of chamomile tea, or perhaps ginseng. I suppose that's just me projecting, though -- if we go to a tea shop, I'll be hunting for chamomile."

"I know an opera singer as well, though." Hala commented, off-topic from tea. Still, chamomile was the main thing on her mind. "He's a very kind man, I think... I also know a trumpeter, and my husband's a bit of a pianist. Both are fine singers, as well." She drew somewhat closer to the older woman, concealing a grimace as she kept up with the other party. "I would like to see a performance, though, if it's really something that you would also like to. I'd feel a bit terrible if I hogged this entire outing."

She slowed to a halt behind Walker, standing at a distance from the woman. She took the moment to rest, placing a hand over her side and stretching out her back with a strained sigh. It took her a moment to respond to the aristocrat. "Oh, don't worry. I like pine trees. I like green. Obviously." she murmured, "I especially like pinecones. Is that strange? I think pinecones are a bit funny to look at... Maybe I should take one before we head back into the city. Have you even made a bird feeder out of pinecones, Walker?"

No, that's dumb.

"But, yes, madame. Just give me a second to catch my breath, please... I don't mean to slow you down." she said, "I'm ready to head back when you are."
