I feel like Akihiro is afraid of war, and losing other hes become close to..... again.... because of war.
Nothing more terrifying than trying to guess what the character above is terrified off. Like everyone has one right? Try and guess or even make one for the character above.

he is afraid of abandonment, and losing whomever he may have because of circumstances and actions that he could have easily controlled (*cough* nathaniel *cough*)
i think Ben really hates snakes over anything else. If one of them would be in his living space he would freak the hell out and try to kill it. But his aim is horrible and he would never hit it.
I feel Emily might be afraid of getting stuck in a bad place among time and space, as it says she has no control over it whatsoever. She also might be afraid of people judging her for the abundant tattoo all over her body and her general appearance.
I think poor Lionel secretly has a fear for communication because of the amputation, I mean, who wouldn't be afraid of talking to the same species once in a while who took his arms? : < (of course with valid reason)
Basing it from his internalized homophobia, I can imagine him being afraid of being seen by other people (especially his parents) when he's getting a bit too "friendly" with another guy. Additionally, I feel like he would try to avoid getting close with boys in general because of his beliefs?
I don't know why but I imagine him with Chronophobia - a fear of time. Time is the biggest thing he can't control so he gets slightly sick when people talk about the years gone by and how time runs out for everyone
