I have had this character for a while and I have lost any ability to figure out what to do with him. His design isn't bad it just needs a little spice. Any suggestions on how to change/add to his design without doing a complete overhaul would be appreciated ^^

SoullessArtOfficial Maybe some skeleton technology on the back that occupies more space than the 3 rib bones (for that either take the ribs of, make them more close to each other and more forward or backward or lower the amount) would make it more appealing and still keep the vibe going. If you don't really vibe with anything from the bones idea, maybe try something that resembles a turtle shell or something that resembles armadillo shells, maybe make the claws slightly bigger as well, so they're more impactful I guess.

ChanteRyuutai My advice to you would look at the color wheel that has loads of hues and see what works and what doesn’t with their coat color! Aka color theory to use complimentary colors !
based on that, I do think that any of these palettes would look nice as clothing because they compliment the blues!

Their long slender body gives me bug vibes! Especially with the colors too, reminds me of the kind that would try to blend in on pale tree bark. A forestry bug makes more sense with the green eyes, too!
If it wasn't so late I'd ask my entomologist friend on more specific bugs, but off the top of my head they give me zelus, weevil, moth or mantis vibes!

So, I'm currently working on turning one of my very old sonas into a Utau/Diff-SVC bank. If you aren't familiar with that stuff, I'm turning my voice into a character that others can use to sing songs. Neat, right?
Problem is, most Vocaloid and Utau have a first and last name. I have no idea what last name to give her. I've had her for so long I'm not very attached to her old one anymore but giving her my last name would basically be doxxing myself. I don't know where else to start, though. Not all voices even have last names, but "Bow" is so short and simple that I feel like she wouldn't stand out as much. Besides, that's my name, and I'd like a way to differentiate myself from her.
Was thinking of renaming her "Bow AI" but the AI makes her sound like a robot which she is not. Also considered "Bowie", but that's just because it's cute and different. Not sure it'd fit in with the rest of the Utau/Diff-SVC characters being made lol

For last names, you can either pick from: a surname generator, looking up surnames and their meaning and picking one that speaks out to you, or picking the surname based off something that means a lot to you. Like if you enjoy music, the name can be “Bowie Song”. Just an example, idk you all too well so I can’t pick a last name that’d be perfect. It should be personal to you since this is your character
For first names, Bow or Bowie is fine imo. You can find other variations on the name like Bowan. I’d highly recommend search “names that start with bow” or if you want something like rainbow where bow is at the end then “names that end with bow”. Name lists like that tend to produce more unique names if you were looking for something different than bow or bowie.
I definitely get that feeling of wanting to conform but imo I think it’s perfectly fine if you don’t. I’m not super deep into vocaloid but the ones i’ve seen have primarily japanese names and I don’t think you should try and pick something like that unless you’re japanese since this character represents you and all. I also don’t think it’s mandatory to have a unique name or last name. Flower is popular and that’s the name, flower. (Unless im wrong and flower does have a last name but flower is still incredibly basic as a name)

For Michi - I think either a green or red accent (like a bowtie or belt) would look nice with a beige/brown suit. Green matches with his eyes and red would contrast with his eyes.
For Teruko - When I think of chemists I think of colorful disposable gloves and safety glasses. Putting her cornrows into a ponytail might also help. If you wanted more chemist-y vibes, but are okay with less realism you could give her a chest pocket and add some colorful filled test tubes into it.

I'd like to rename him so that his name doesn't look too close my other OCs. I'm looking for name suggestions that fit the following criteria:
HydoAmenoLover I went with option 2 because I do enjoy me some gentlemanly and characters who tend towards more formal outfits. I think Grimes already looks pretty good as far as his physical features, it’s just a matter of dressing him in a way that works well.
One thing that I noticed is that there’s not a lot of contrast between him and his shirt. So one option could be simply change the color of his shirt to give him more visual contrast and something to catch the eye.
Of course, that’s the simple way and I just have to be a little extra ehehe. :3c SO, here’s some items of clothing that I think could spice up his wardrobe! I recommend any more classy looks as far a style.
- Turtlenecks. Wool ones that can go under a nice blazer or dress coat. I think keep them dark in color would work well for him.
-Scarves. These can be black, but if you opt for having his outfit be less saturated, having it be a small splash of color would look awesome!
- Blazers. I think he’d look good in blazers, whether or not paired with any of the above, I think a nice blazer would work well for him! If you go with a dress shirt, I’d also recommend a tie or bow tie to go with the outfit.
Over all, I think classy, formal street fashion when I see Grimes, so definitely look into researching some of that! Hope this helps though!^^ (think like the outfit below)
So I’ve been working on redesigning this mask for the undead Au, as well as revamping the outfit to be… more traveler like? Idk how best to describe it. The dilemma I’m having is that, I’m not sure if I should make the mask more bear-like as the original concept a large cat, though I think a bear fits better. Aside from removing the carved scars… because it’s a little cliche to me tbh, what I’m really struggling with is that it looks kinda drab and overtly simple. And while that has its charm, I want it to have a little bit more character to the mask. As for the outfit, it just feels too… eh. It lacks character, cat least relating to who is wearing it. While it’s the point to look inconspicuous, it doesn’t look enough like Illanya, ya know?

Maybe elaborate on his personality? Like how does he act now? I.e. is he outgoing or antisocial, lawful or chaotic, nice or rude etc.
As for Rai, should they be a villain or not? Like what should their deal be, i just need some ideas.
Maybe he's a good guy, but when certain things happen he becomes cold and cruel. Eventually not even seeing what is wrong or right. At one point he realises he is becoming exactly what his parents wanted: a monster.

I don't entirely know what you mean by persona (it just reminds me of the game lol) But I think you mean personality. Maybe Ramil likes gold and riches but feels guilt over stealing from others so they just admire it from a far. But if someone drops gold they'll immediately pick it up and not tell them. They're sneaky but not entirely bad, immediately being honest when caught taking gold.
