AKA The Beach Episode: TH Edition

Since it's almost summer, why not get a summer-y forum game going?

Your two characters are at the beach! What do they do together?

Perhaps an epic water fight? Some intense volleyball? Sand-castle making? Or just some drinks and relaxing on the shore? The possibilities are endless!

Rules:

1) Please wait at least until 2 people have posted in between you before posting again, or until 12 hours have passed. Whichever comes first.

2) Make sure to post IC so people know who to respond to!

3) Keep it PG-13. Remember there's probably going to be kiddos on this beach!

4) At least three sentences please! Something that shows you've read up on the character above you!

Whoever posts first will be the first person to respond to!

Thanatos lophiusdragon

Thanatos was woken up by the commotion. He happened to be right near where the orange sorbet disaster ocurred.

Thanatos glared at Ethan immediately  after being woken up, and then falls back asleep.

Chris Jensen truelexblue

Chris didn't exactly agree to go to the beach, but his brother Peter forced him to anyways. Peter yelled from the ocean, demanding that Chris join him in the water, but he refused. He laid back down on his beach towel and opened up the book he brought. At this point, he was fine - until he took a quick glance to the right.

There stood Thanatos. As Chris saw him for the first time, he shot up from the towel. He couldn't help but stare in awe, but he also felt as though he was doing something wrong.

Snapping out of the daze he was in, Chris backed away and bolted.

Kenji Kezwick bulgariansumo

A beach is the last place Kenji wanted to be at the moment.

"Get some fresh air!" he mutters the words of his boss. "Enjoy your youth!"

How can he enjoy anything when there's so much work to be done back at the talent agency? His students must be running the place ragged by now. His boss, though he has good intentions, would not be able to handle them all by himself. Besides, with so little vegetation on the beach, there's not much for Kenji to enjoy.

A ways beside him he spots another person who looks out of place. He looks like he had also been dragged there. Kenji almost wants to strike up a conversation, but notices the bespectacled man is reading a book, and decides not to bother him. He wishes he brought a book. Upon seeing the dark circles under the stranger's eyes, Kenji remembers how tired he had been feeling lately. Stressing about what's going on back home while being powerless to do anything about it only gives him a headache.

Maybe some relaxation is a good thing.

Terry Lovejoy PicklePantry

"Hey, don't go that far into the water!" Terry shouted over at a couple students trying to swim further than he could see. He sighed as he dropped his arms, only to lift one back up and shade his squinting eyes from the harsh sun. He never liked the beach. It was so hot, and the water was salty, and the seagulls were annoying pests after his food. He couldn't understand why the school thought it was a good idea to come here for the big field trip. He glanced over at the other teachers, all of them shirtless with abs and pecs. Oh. Yeah, that makes sense now.
He trudged under his umbrella and sat in his chair, letting out a sigh. He still had his coffee-stained shirt on. There was no way he was going to walk around shirtless. Not like he wanted to get in the water anyway. He opened his cooler and pulled out a thermos of iced coffee, smirking a little to himself. At least he had the perfect chance to test the endurance of this thermos.
As Terry drank some of his coffee (contemplating spiking it) he noticed another group wander onto the beach. Those weren't any of the school's kids. He glanced backwards to see a different colored bus sporting the name of the boarding school on the other side of town. Huh. He'd heard about the school but never saw anything about it. For some reason he always got a School of Rock vibe from them.
There was a thuds besides him and Terry turned to see one of the boarding school's teachers sitting down with a similar miserable expression, muttering something about work still left to do. Terry couldn't help but chuckle. "Might as well sit back," he offered the stranger. "Looking after these little monsters is hard enough work. Maybe I can help. You like coffee?"

 Fiala ophanimkei

Fiala walked around the beach somewhat aimlessly. She wasn't really into these kind of things. It was a bit too hot for her taste, and the proximity to the ocean made her somewhat nervous.

She noticed the man in sunglasses. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there, and Fiala related to this. She approached him and attempted to have conversation. He appeared to have a hard time replying, but Fiala didn't mind. He definitely wasn't the happy kind of guy, but she found this somewhat charming. They ended up walking along the beach, and Fiala attempted to make him smile. Various attempts failed.

As the day ended, Fiala had given up. She waved to him good and complimented his sunglasses. Joy appeared on his face briefly, and Fiala ran away feeling accomplished.

 Null Appicot

"Ugh, all I can smell is salt and it's all I can smell. Fun"

Null sighed as he stretched his top set of arms and looked around in his bag he held in his secound set with one of his free arms. Null didn't hate the beach, rather he hated the crowds AT the beach. Most of them looked weirdly at the demigod, not knowing he could slap them at the speed of sound if he wanted, but he wont-

Null soon relized that he was mainly alone as a 'weird species' here and he grumbled a bit and looked around for some food. He saw what seemed to be like a non-human at least and he quickly walked up to Fiala.. kinda like he was about to attack.

"Where is the food stands? A beach must have a food stand"

He interrupted Fiala's conversation rather rudely, but he didn't honestly care. Once they told him where to go, he gave them a shiny rock worth 100$ as thank you, shook her hand then finally said 'thanks' outloud. Finally, he went to the food stand and bough his snacks and hung around there for awhile before making a portal in time and leaving.

Thanatos lophiusdragon

Thanatos saw the dark, toothy, fluffy fire demon and it was almost like looking into a mirror.

A thousand burning mirrors.

Thanatos decided that was more than enough for one day and decided to look for a good spot to nap in, somewhere far away from Boss and any other beings that radiated intense heat.

Clover ChickieDee

It was bad enough that Runa and York had dragged her out to the beach. She was huddled underneath an umbrella, as far away from the water as she could possibly be, She hated the ocean; it was always so loud, so crowded, and the water...

It...It wasn't like she was scared of it or anything. It was just a smart decision on her part to stay away since she couldn't swim, right? Definitely not scared, definitely not.

The cherry on this whole uncomfortable cake was seeing what looked like some sort of lizard hovering near a giant bird like creature a little ways down the beach. The witch blinked in disbelief. She rubbed at her eyes, quickly turning her attention back to the water where her friends were playing, clearly baffled. That...that had to be some sort of hallucination, right...? Just some sort of trick of the light and the heat.

Maybe she should have taken Runa's offer to sell her some sunglasses...

 Ghoul Opossun

This was the first time Ghoul was at the beach. Since he was blind, all the new sensations were fascinating! The sand against his paws, the wind bringing the smell of the sea, even the cold water from the ocean was a scary, yet amazing feeling. However, he felt another new smell. And it was not a normal smell; He felt herbal scents, and that made Ghoul pretty interested.

Of everything Ghoul can be, "discrete" isn't one of them. He was running towards Clover, but it was so ridiculous to watch that no one can possibly be afraid of what was coming. Since he's a quite young Nisshoku, he didn't had a "normal body" yet. His head was too big for his body, so he was running shaking his head and losing his balance all the time! In the end, he stopped by and smelled Clover's legs a bit, kinda like a dog, and then left again. It was a pretty weird situation.

But later, of course, Ghoul came back. He had something on his mouth. It was a sea shell! He dropped at Clover's feet the sea shell and dropped on the sand, rolling a bit of excitement.

Lophius lophiusdragon

Lophius sees the strange doglike creature Ghoul and is surprised.

"Wow! You are a weird looking dog! You don't have any fur! Or eyes! But you're kinda cute!"

Lophius shows Ghoul some sea glass.

"Look at this! Look how shiny and pretty it is!".

 aster santos sweetbunberry

Aster is wading in the ocean, looking for interesting shells, when she realizes that she's actually gone into the water. Stupidly enough, she can't freakin' swim.

Luckily for her, Lophius has slowly pushed her back closer to the shore. Aster isn't fully aware of the situation for few seconds. She is frightened of the sea creature at first, but then is instantly calmed when she puts two and two together.

"Hey, I didn't ask for your help!"

"But, uh... thanks."

The girl huffs while the lady walked d away. Did she have a problem?

"Hey, lady! What's the issue? It's the beach - people can do what they want, you know!" Aster's face is pink once she realizes she was just yelling at a stranger.

It really was a bad idea to walk that close to the water. Aster is soaked to the bone and shivering, even though the day is pretty damn hot. And it wasn't like she could just whip out her "maaaagical keeeeyy" to use maaaagic and dry herself off, according to the floating puffball that was apparently her guide... Being a magical girl was the exact opposite of what she wanted to do this summer.

"Ugh. This is why I should stay indoors."

Mimsy ChickieDee

Ah...the beach! There was nothing quite like it: the warm sand, the ocean, the crowds of people just humming with energy. Mimsy let out a content sigh, stretching out on her towel in the bright sun. This was the life! Well...that was until a girl came and plopped down next to her.

Of course it had to be a kid.

Mimsy grimaced at the sight of the girl sitting next to her. She was dripping from head to toe, grumbling something to herself as she played with the shells gathered in her skirts. Why would she wear something like that overly frilly dress to the beach anyway...? Where were her parents...?!

The succubus let out a small huff, quickly getting up and heading towards the waves. Just sitting next to this girl for too long was ruining her relaxation. Whatever; she would just go for a walk until the kid left. Maybe she could actually find some adult to talk to, instead.
