AKA The Beach Episode: TH Edition

Since it's almost summer, why not get a summer-y forum game going?

Your two characters are at the beach! What do they do together?

Perhaps an epic water fight? Some intense volleyball? Sand-castle making? Or just some drinks and relaxing on the shore? The possibilities are endless!

Rules:

1) Please wait at least until 2 people have posted in between you before posting again, or until 12 hours have passed. Whichever comes first.

2) Make sure to post IC so people know who to respond to!

3) Keep it PG-13. Remember there's probably going to be kiddos on this beach!

Smiley PicklePantry

Smiley got up after what felt like ages. His legs took a moment to move and his back cracked when he stretched, but it was worth it. Drawn on the sand was a large smiley face. Good, this ought to make everyone happier.
When Smiley turned around he noticed a familiar figure ways away. "Oh, it's you again! :)" he greeted as he wandered towards the infected man. "Are you enjoying the beach? :) It's a nice beach, isn't it? :) I like to think it is. :) And now it's even better thanks to my decorations! See? :)" He pointed at the sandy smile before looking back at Holland. "Say, have you ever made a sand castle? :) It's enjoyable. We should try it. :) Just be sure not to get any water on my bag, okay? :)"

Roy Lane PicklePantry

Now living in Italy, the sea was something for Roy to get accustomed to. The same went for beaches. He had been so used to the concrete jungle that was a city that he forgot nature existed now and then.
The king stood on the sand, making a face. The sand was hot, and it smelled... well it didn't smell as nice as he imagined. He was also frankly scared of the seagulls. They were swooping a little too close to him and the family nearby was feeding them a lot of bread. But what got his attention the most was the large man a few feet away with a... with a TV for a head. And-And bunny ears?? Was this a dream?
Roy tried not to stare too hard but found it hard. He knew magical creatures and beings existed now, but it was still very hard to take in. He stiffened when CEN turned towards him and quickly looked away, but he could hear the footsteps coming. Each footstep added another drop of sweat to Roy's forehead. How would he even make conversation??
In a last ditch effort, Roy ran for the waters, diving in head first.

CACKLE HES ALL NERVOUS NOW

♛Bankorai♛ LifeInCartoonMotion

Bankorai sat upon a gaudily patterned beach towel, rubbing a glob of sunscreen into the skin of his pale arm and enjoying the sounds of crashing waves. He peered up over the top of a pair of pink aviators and just so happened to meet eyes with Roy. A saucy smile immediately curled his lips and he languidly turned onto his stomach, his gleaming muscles and tight swim trucks on display.

He waved the bottle of sunscreen in the handsome half-sirens direction. "Hey there, handsome. Mind helping a fellow get those hard to reach places?" he asked with an arched brow and a completely unsubtle wink.

His smile fell into a pout as Roy quickly made himself scarce. He then lowered his chin onto his hands with a huff, forlornly watching Roy's oh so fine retreating back. "Darn."

(I couldn't help myself lol)

Ma Fia ChickieDee

Ah, this weather was perfect. Sunny, not too hot but not cold by any stretch of the imagination. The beach was always good escape from the cold winter winds of the city, and lucky for Fia, since the shipping cover-up's main ports were all on the coast, she got to go quite frequently.

After all, she had to go check on her "assets"; there was no harm in enjoying her little trips on her terms as well.

Lounging in a reclined beach chair while she soaked up the sun, Fia let herself enjoy the people-watching that was abundant around her. Her eyes were almost immediately drawn to the man with the pink sunglasses. Just from the distance that she found herself at, she could see his confident flirting with someone change to disappointment. She couldn't help the snicker under her breath at the scene. A shame honestly; the man seemed to be doing so well, and he definitely wasn't hard on the eyes, even with that odd apperance. Horns and....long ears? Well, she wasn't one to judge if someone wanted to play dress up at the beach. Her curiosity was the extent of her business, anyway.

Zachary Merula Lemonburgers

Zachary groans at the irritating sunlight, pulling at the hood of his beach towel as he enters the beach entrance. “Isn’t this great? We finally have a week for vacation!” He hears a colleague say in his mind. Walking around the beach, emptying the sand in his sandals, he finds a free spot under an umbrella.

“I’d rather be in the ship working, but relaxing can work as well.” Zachary quietly replies at his thoughts. He sits on the side of the recliner with the bag adjacent to him, opening a book titled A Magnetic Storm?! with a notebook and pen on his lap. Merula peers above the pages seeing a figure sunbathing in front of him. “What’s the point in basking in the sun sitting still like that? Won’t you get sunburnt?” He thinks to himself while he continues reading. Yeah, she does seem to be the type who’d relax on this calm, yet chaotic day on the beach. Maybe she has kids going rampant by the waves or that her boss is giving her a hard time at work? That’s why people are at the beach, right, to ignore the problems they have on the backburner? She seems to be a nice person, but he shouldn’t bother her. Besides, she also looks like the type who’d snap at you for intruding her beauty sleep!

“Pah, I shouldn’t meddle in other’s business. Not this time anyway.” Zachary thought, turning the page. Maybe he should relax too.

Jackson had walked over to the beach mainly to look and collect the shells and trinkets that washed up on the shore. He still wore his swimsuit though, he might get in the water.

He noticed the humanoid bird sitting down and reading. He approaches him eagerly. Zachary places his book down and raised a brow. "Wow? Are you really a human bird?" Jackson blurts out, not thinking what to say. "I have chickens at my house!" He added on. "Hey, do you wanna help me find shells?" Jackson asked with a large grin.

Jelly Opal Jellysideaccount

The gem was gently floating on a gathering of bubbles. It truly was a sight to behold. She was sitting down, her hair dipped in the water. Her deadly hair had collected a school of dead and dying fish. She spotted Jackson from the shore. She paused, her eyes pierced him, they almost seemed to be luminescent in the pale moonlight. She was truly alien.

She did not speak a word, it's almost like she couldn't. She just peered further and further into Jackson's soul. It was strange, every time Jackson tried to get closer, it seemed like the gem was floating farther and farther away from him. And the night remained silent. No amount of talking got her to budge.

The gem stood up and the bubbles she was sitting on began to float away. Along with them she flew and that was the last Jackson saw her.

Katla SlyAsAFox

Katla was searching for something to do on this boring and rather sunny day. Her eyesight was rather weak during daytime, thanks to her species. Following her nose, she made her way out of the  thick covert and stepped upon..sand? Ah. That would explain the salty scent she had followed, the Ghula had reached the beach. Immediately the sun stung in her eyes, snarling and shielding her already weak vision, Katla tried to make out the scene that unfolded infront of her.

Was that a person floating away on a bubble...? Weird. Must be her mind going bonkers from the sun. Already annoyed by all the light and commotion going on, Katla quickly made her way over to a parasol to hide in the shadow, relaxing her eyes a bit. With all the people around, venom started to collect in her mouth. The Ghula swallowed hard, trying not to think about digging her sharklike teeth into the soft flesh of the poor souls around her. Even tho she was rather sluggish and tired during the day, she would still be fast enough to grab a snack. But instead she swallowed again, getting slightly annoyed at herself. Her chest wasnt hurting at the moment and she didnt want to give into the unsatable hunger. Not this time. She closed her eyes, trying to relax for once. Just a little bit.

Jackson Rivers PicklePantry

(Writing for Caldwell since it's been 11 days since the post has been claimed!)

"Man, I know it's winter and all, but it feels colder than usual today," Jackson shivered. He stood a good distance from where the crashing waves could reach him, his pants rolled up so that his legs could sink into the sand for some ounce of warmth. He breathed into his hands before putting them in his pockets, shivering again and looking up at the overcast sky. "I've never been big on cold weather. Always makes me feel slower. What about you?" he smiled over at Klaus. The guy was a nervous wreck, but it didn't look... normal. He wasn't sure how to explain it, but it looked like Klaus was watching for something, or cautious about doing something. Did he realize Jackson's a thief? No, that couldn't be it. Maybe he was sick of the several pick-up lines the thief told him? ... That's a possibility.
Regardless, Jackson looked back at the ocean. He shivered again. "All right, I don't want to stay here any longer. Hey!" he called to Klaus again. "There's a great cafe nearby here that has the best hot chocolate. You want some? It'll be my treat!"

Lotus [Koi] Banya

Claim on PicklePantry

How come Jackson was forced again to visit the beach in such a cold weather?
When he tried to convince him Lotus, walking on the shore barefoot, casually mentioned he was on a treasure hunt.
"Who knows, maybe there's a treasure buried somewhere."
Of course. Being the son of an adventurer he should have developed such hobbies, maybe a keen eye too.
"Sounds fun, isn't it? That's why winter evenings are the best."
Lotus gazed at his friend with an endearing expression.  Maybe someone else would have pointed at the breeze and the unraveled beauty of the sea, but he's a simple dude. A treasure hunting guy.
