Answer to a question from the user above

Posted 5 years, 11 months ago (Edited 5 years, 8 months ago) by Caine

Similarly to "answer to the question from the oc above", the idea of this game is to answer to something the user above you asks! I was debating whether to name the thread this or "ask a question to the user below" and got a headache trying to decide which one, but really they are the same thing!

This is not an OC game: this is for users to ask things from other users, similarly to "ask a question to the user above you" but in reverse. Hopefully it'll be a fun way to learn more about the users here & get a chance to talk about something you like!

Rules:

  1. Make sure to claim first! This way you'll avoid getting ninjad by someone faster than you
  2. Your answer can be as long or short as you wish to make it to be! Just use the spoiler marker if you end up writing a lot or including lot of images
  3. Wait for at least 3 people to post after you before claiming again! If 12 hours pass, anyone can reply and/or post a new answer
  4. Keep your questions vague enough that people will have something to answer to them!
Don't ask:
  • any super personal questions, like full name or home town
  • questions of morals such as "what would you do if...". While these can be fun, they can really easily get under people's skin and cause stir and drama, and we're here to have a good time and not fight
  • anything that could be considered even vaguely NSFW or sexual in nature
  • idk just keep it civil and not weird or creepy and you'll be fine

If I see someone asking for too personal things or being rude or behaving strangely I'll privately message them to fix their message. Feel free to also DM me if you see strange or rule-breaking behavior!

Question examples:

Here are some things to maybe give ideas to what kind of things to ask! Feel free to use these or do your own thing, as long as it's following the rules

  • INTERESTS: Favourite movie/book/anything? Hobbies? Strange trivia you know?
  • CHARACTERS: Your most expensive character?
  • CREATIVE: Are you more of an artist or a writer? Your creative influences?
  • STORYTIME: Funniest elementary school memory? Has anything strange ever happened to you?

If the thread has been stuck for +12 hours anyone is free to answer and ask a new question!

For the first person posting:

What kind of music do you like?

AlleycatIrony

i honestly find it really difficult to keep OCs on my own? i usually make OCs as my bf makes them and our characters are usually the ones that interact w/ each other rather than our own OCs interacting w/ our own u know? doing character stuff w/ someone else makes it 10x more fun and i honestly would've quit OCs a long, long time ago if it wasn't for him!

do you still indulge in something from ur childhood (eg, games, toys, shows, ect)

GnashingT33th

Edit: I'm a moron who mixed up games hhhhh, lemme rethink this oops

Yes! When I was a kid I loved to do origami because it gave me something to do with my hands and it helped me focus more! I also loved to teach other people the types of origami I learned because..I dunno it was fun?? I may not be the best at it, but I still do some basic origami when I'm spacing out and it always relaxes me ^^

What is your least favorite animal and why? Have you always disliked that animal or did you grow to dislike it?

PhantomGhosts

Least favourite animal... Spiders, by far. I've always disliked them... Mostly because I've woken up in the morning with one plastered across my face. The way they walk creeps me out (Nothing should have THAT many legs/eyes.) That being said I still keep some laying around the house to keep the flies down? I suppose I'm a bit weird but if they stay to their designated spots they're fine.

What is your favourite movie? Have you ever designed a character based on it? If yes, feature... If no, why not?

Guardy

I don't have a super clear favorite, but The Scarlet Pimpernel (from 1982) is definitely up there. Jane Seymour is very pretty in it, and Ian McKellen gets partially undressed with a sword. It's... kind of a long story and makes about as much sense in context.

pls go watch it it makes absolutely no sense but it's great, esp. if you like history but you can also watch it for the aesthetic and the general nonsense.

I mean, it's a history flick, albeit a kind of camp one, really, so basing characters on it is kind of difficult? Besides, I don't really do real life stuff, I need a healthy dose of fantasy or SciFi.

Speaking of Fantasy and Science Fiction... what's your favorite genre (and why)?

Caine hahaha whoops thats embarrasing lol sorry!!! ;w; i saw the turian icon and though it was IC without reading it properly

in my case my favourite genre is always fantasy and science fiction, i cant pick between the two though lol, i just find it a lot more fun than realistic stuff and how much variance there is to the genre!

question for the next user: do you have any pets?

fizzelston

I do! I have two cats who don't like each other very much! One is 5 years old and the other is 1! They are both European shorthairs from the pound 👏

Next question: what's your opinion about traveling by train?

moshiboi

Travelling by train is my favourite form of transport since I get spooked when in cars. (I don't trust other drivers.)

Pineapple on pizza, what's your verdict?

Caine

I'm alright with it if it's a fresh-out-of-the.oven type of pizza, but if it has been there longer than 12 hours it's dead to me and I'll pick them out one at the time

Have you ever been on a plane? If yes, how old were you during your first flight?

fuelli

I've been on a plane 2 times (Or should I say 4 times? Because... I needed to come back at some point lmao), and I recall correctly, I was around 8 the first time. I went to the Democratic Republic of the Congo with my father to see his side of the family.

I was 17 the second time: it was last year, I went to a school trip in Poland and the Czech Republic! Tbh it was wayyy more interesting and fun than the trip with my father lmao, I think it was one of the best weeks of my life!

But yeah I'm not really afraid of planes or anything, the only thing I hate is how my ears hurt after the flight .-.

Is there something unusual that you're afraid of, and why?

truly, my dream job is to be an astrophysicist or a mortician. art wise, would be to work in a really good company like naughty dog or square enix. i've always loved the stars and space, but going back to a university that isn't art based is.. traumatizing, to say the least lol.. i had a horrible time with my first time in college, so i'm reluctant to chase that dream again. mortician school sounds amazing but i'm not sure how my psyche would handle dealing with dead people all day, every day. even though it's like 2nd place on my dream job list. at least i have some backups in case my art career ever fails horribly.

what is something revolutionary that you would like to see happen in the world?

Guardy

I guess functioning and fair labor laws - globally, without exceptions - would be a nice start. More generally, if people could stop screwing other people over for their own petty, selfish reasons, that would be great.

If you could visit any place on earth, where'd you most want to go?
