Answer to a question from the user above

Posted 5 years, 10 months ago (Edited 5 years, 8 months ago) by Caine

Similarly to "answer to the question from the oc above", the idea of this game is to answer to something the user above you asks! I was debating whether to name the thread this or "ask a question to the user below" and got a headache trying to decide which one, but really they are the same thing!

This is not an OC game: this is for users to ask things from other users, similarly to "ask a question to the user above you" but in reverse. Hopefully it'll be a fun way to learn more about the users here & get a chance to talk about something you like!

Rules:

  1. Make sure to claim first! This way you'll avoid getting ninjad by someone faster than you
  2. Your answer can be as long or short as you wish to make it to be! Just use the spoiler marker if you end up writing a lot or including lot of images
  3. Wait for at least 3 people to post after you before claiming again! If 12 hours pass, anyone can reply and/or post a new answer
  4. Keep your questions vague enough that people will have something to answer to them!
Don't ask:
  • any super personal questions, like full name or home town
  • questions of morals such as "what would you do if...". While these can be fun, they can really easily get under people's skin and cause stir and drama, and we're here to have a good time and not fight
  • anything that could be considered even vaguely NSFW or sexual in nature
  • idk just keep it civil and not weird or creepy and you'll be fine

If I see someone asking for too personal things or being rude or behaving strangely I'll privately message them to fix their message. Feel free to also DM me if you see strange or rule-breaking behavior!

Question examples:

Here are some things to maybe give ideas to what kind of things to ask! Feel free to use these or do your own thing, as long as it's following the rules

  • INTERESTS: Favourite movie/book/anything? Hobbies? Strange trivia you know?
  • CHARACTERS: Your most expensive character?
  • CREATIVE: Are you more of an artist or a writer? Your creative influences?
  • STORYTIME: Funniest elementary school memory? Has anything strange ever happened to you?

If the thread has been stuck for +12 hours anyone is free to answer and ask a new question!

For the first person posting:

What kind of music do you like?

firebuug

>:3c i really like all kinds of scattered genres but my favorites seem to be electro swing and indie stuff like jack stauber! (GOD i love jack stauber....)

if you were an animal, what animal would you want to be?

Bostonia

Without a doubt, A chickadee. They are my favorite little bird and have the sweetest little calls (even their own warning calls!)

If you had to change your native language, what language would you speak?

fuelli

Honestly... English, I think? I would finally be able to express myself on most social media and forums without having to fear to sound awkward dcfvgbh

Otherwise I think I'd choose one of my target languages, like Japanese or German, lmao.

What makes you feel nostalgic?

I was debating answering this one for a while because this person is on TH-- I won't tag them, but they know who they are. : p

The one person who always makes my day better is a very close friend. We spend most of our free time together, even if it's long-distance, watching stuff together or just sending silly links or funny screenshots from whatever game one of us is playing-- and even when it's not about anything important, hearing from them always brightens my day.

And if that answer's too vague, then my cat always makes me feel better when I need it. Purring is the best.

What are you working on right now?

thegrumpydruid

Caine ahhh thank you, I got called in to work, sorry!!! Anyways, I'm working on a Closed Species rn, also working on mass coding all my OC profiles and building a HTML template for myself to use.

.....

How are you feeling atm?

This post has been removed.
Caine

I actually feel pretty ok! Frustrated I can't spend more time outside especially knowing the weather will turn to straight up autumn next week, but I'm working on a drawing I'm excited about!! And I had a nice talk with a friend and learned a lot more about them in a good way

A work of fiction that has had an impact on you as a creator?

GLITCH-DXCTOR

Oh man, definitely One Piece! With all the extravagant styles and personalities, it really captured my attention and my heart! I base a lot of my characters’ personalities and occasionally designs off of the series’s antagonists, ESPECIALLY Doflamingo and Akainu!

Have you ever participated in a MAP?

jukeboxes

No! Oh, I wish. I've always wanted to animate, but I never got started because... I have terrible self esteem. And I could just never see myself doing it. I don't have the patience to, either... if I ever actually learned how, though, then I'd love to participate in one!

Have you been making any new characters lately? If so, tell me about them! If not, what have you been doing with your current ones?

ophanimkei

Yeah, I've been making a lot lately, mostly for my comic. A lot of them aren't uploaded here yet because I've been making them so quickly, or they just act as background characters. I have so many notes for them, it's insane. It's pretty exhausting, but I've been having fun ^^

Have you ever made a game or comic? If you have, please tell me about it!

RainstormReverie

Not entirely - i've started comics, and I've started making video games, but I've never finished anything. I've been working on my own game/world for around 7 or so years now. I hope to eventually get to a place where i'm skilled enough to pick back up on the gamework instead of just letting it fester and rot on the board it's on right now :< [if you'd like to look at it, crown folder -> bravura has the link]

have you ever owned or wanted to own an exotic animal? if so, what?

Caine

Not really? I feel like most of the "exotic" animals are hard to get / not that "popular" for a reason, as many of them are not actually even happy living among humans because we can't give them the environment they need. So yeah I prefer sticking to actually domesticated species like cats and dogs instead!

But I guess when it comes to like "rare domesticated animals" I'd probably like to have a ferret! They're very relatable animals somehow I'm really Feeling them when I watch videos and hear stories about them haha

What kind of things do you find challenging to draw/write about?

SuperiorInactive

That’s easy. I find action hard to write. How do you keep something following while writing a good action scene? It is really hard and I hate it so much, but for what I write I have to write that stuff a lot.

But it gets easy after practice.

What is the hardest emotion to write for?

RadiantRaindragon

I think most emotions are challenging to write (still fun though), but maybe anger? For example, writing a scene in which two characters are furious which each other and in the middle of a heated argument. I always find it difficult to write those scenes in a way that seems... I don't know, genuine. Grief and sadness are a challenge as well. Often, I find that I can't write a certain emotional scene without being in a similar state of mind myself.

Which of your characters do you enjoy drawing/writing for the most?
