What do you know about the user above?

Posted 5 years, 5 months ago (Edited 5 months, 17 days ago) by Kogami

Edit: Tweaked some rules/examples in the thread, but I feel like I need to mention this in the first few sentence...

This is NOT a "first impression" type of game!!

Please look at alternatives at the bottom of this intro if you want to play a game with those kinds of responses.

Inspired (stolen) from similar game in another forum! Since I know that a number of us are already regulars here and most likely recognize familiar faces, you just state something you already know from the user above! Either if it's about their characters, art/writing, or interest; and regardless if you know it from their profile or another thread!

This is optional, but if you're confident that you're familiar with the person above and want to make it slightly challenging, let's try without looking at their profile while playing this game! (Or maybe recheck after writing your claim just to make sure your describe the person correctly lol)

Uhh as usual, we want to have a good game with everyone and not without rules and restrictions; so here's some type of responses you can and can't do:

Allowed:
  • Anything good about the person's characters or art ("I know that you have great art", "I know that you have this character and I faved them", "I know that you're currently creating a comic")
  • Something interesting you noticed about the person? ("I know you like this fandom", "You put efforts into your characters", "You create a lot of forum games")
  • Something funny or silly?? If you want, as long as it's still within the range of staying nice. ("I know you don't sleep", "I know you like to suffer with their OCs", "I know your life and blood are basically coffee", "You just stated in another thread about recently bought a book")
NOT allowed: (Do this more than three times, and you're banned from this game)
  • Using any bad traits or words to describe the person above ("You have terrible artstyle", "Your OCs are lame")
  • Pointing out any negative traits (regardless if it's true or not), in other words, calling them out ("You vented about being depressed", "You're rude about your opinions", "You have abusive OCs")
  • Leaking any personal information, either you know it from the person directly or indirectly. Privacy is a thing.
Not recommended: (You won't get banned for doing this, but makes the responses less fun/too predictable. You may however, get pinged to update your claim if it heavily fits within these rules so that nobody cheats just to get a free claim.)
  • Pointing out from only the icon or username. That's too easy, put some efforts in your responses! (You can do this but I'd suggest putting more things other than the icon/username alone)
  • Again, this is a game where you want to be familiar with the person above to make a good response and not judge by pure assumptions and first impressions.
    • This part is a bit flexible if you're new and not familiar with most of the users here, but again, I'd emphasize to not response by first impressions or at least look into the above person's profile c: (This also goes to anyone that happens to claim a new user or so)
  • A simple one liner response. Try giving a bit more if you can! It's always good to put more efforts or be more interactive, no? (I know I gave one liner examples here but that's for the sake of simplicity) You don't have to write a whole essay at all, at the very least write more than 6+ words or make it two sentences.
    • Edit: I'll strongly advice to especially avoid one liner responses if the person above wrote a long response for their claim. Let's play a fair game!
  • I can't stress this enough but not being familiar with the user above, regardless if they're new or not, DOESN'T excuse you to write effortless responses that describes almost barebones about them. Look into the user's profile or wait until you're confident with claiming the last user who posted. Don't be impatient.

    • I'm clearly not limiting this game to "forum regulars-only" at all but that doesn't mean you'll get a free pass to join without following the rules so pleas e

Now then, hopefully that should be clear and we all will have a good time here. c:

You can claim again after every 3 to 5 posts, unless 12 hours passed by.

Hi! I definitely remember your username and icon from the forums, but besides that I don't remember much about your characters; I think you mostly post OOC and/outside of forum games?

If I recall correctly, you have many Pokémon gijinka characters, all they all have their own names (rather than just their species names) and identities! It's pretty fun to guess who is who just looking at their icon.

Also I always had the impression you were an "older" user? 22-25 if I had to guess.

Sleepy-Thunder

Ah yes, I've come upon you again. XD I have seen you many times and corresponded with you quite a bit so this should be easy for me.

You have a fondness for characters pulled from religion and history! Biggest thing I remember and like about you. <3 Your art is memorable as well as it tends to have rounder faces and a more "cute" style. You take a lot of pride in your characters and stories as they involve many, many things that you love in real life.

Swissy

If i recall, you like western media such as the superhero franchise, star wars, and other pop culture. I know you have characters that revolves around the fantasy setting. Talking about characters, you have a ton of male OCs that i can easily differentate and has their own quirks n personality. They have some distinct face because of your art. And i definitely know you have such a unique and distinct style, especially in terms of lineart, face and anatomy.

ElithianFox

I know you mostly as "that person who has the Swiss cheese girl as her icon" lD On a more serious note, I know you have a very recognisable art style! It's this combo of chibi with cute and especially the way you draw your eyes and usually the lack of a nose that I find typical and memorable for your art. Also, your personifications of astronomical objects! If I see one of those, I instantly can link 'em back to you. I also know you have a pretty active forum presence both here and in the other forum sections <:

Ledokol

You're the creator of some of prominent forum games! Also I recall you're fond of colors in brown, earthy tone... if my memory serves me correctly, you used to run a 'show your oc with earth tone colors' thread or something along that line in Character Discussion. XD (admittedly I've eyed to post there sometime but in the end I don't have any OC whose color palette is strictly in earthy tone). Your art style is easily recognizable and I can remember several of your OCs when I see them in forums. You have a lot of diversity among your OCs but I tend to remember the demons the most.

I know I definitely looked at your profile rather recently and thought that you had a really nice art style. A lot of your art has really vibrant colour palettes. You also had posted a bulletin that was a bit old that was advertising your commissions. You have quite a few characters that are a pretty even mix of feral and humanoids. If I remember correctly the character that is your icon is your sona.

I know you love gore and have a good amount of well designed furry OCs. And your art has a very good story book style and you improvement is very fast. I ALSO KNOW YOU LIKE AO ONI! ( I LOVE AO ONI.)

Hi! I'm mostly remember you thanks to your character Bernadette (who is also your profile pic); we even had a short conversation about him! You used him quite a lot on the forums so I find him pretty iconic, haha. Your art style is pretty realistic, especially when it comes to shadows and lighting. You're also quite knowledgeable in history if I recall correctly?

RedRarebit Hoi, thanks a bunch! I'm really happy you like my writing, and the feeling is mutual; I love seeing you around too! c: And yup you're right, I love researching historical stuff, and I'm indeed French haha

I feel like I have gotten to know you the best through your RP stuff with that discord group for older people + I have occasionally seen your icon in the "worlds" section! And honestly from your super detailed RP comfort meme it's pretty easy to see RPing is super dear to you, even if you don't always have the time for energy to it (which is understandable; as I have gotten older I also find it harder to commit to RPs despite loving them a lot). And I think it's sort of heartfelt to see your passion for it, in a way? Same for your characters - I have gotten the impression they're super dear to you and you're also very interested in helping other people develop theirs and have discussions about the topic! You have always come across as very organized to me (even though I admit we haven't really interested much or anything!) and I have a very vivid memory of stumbling across one of your character profiles and being very fascinated by your layout + the use of faceclaims!

I know that you have a lot of projects and characters that you are very passionate about! You are working on a visual novel called....s-sinphonia? sinphona? I can't spell LAUGHS that you have been working hard on and has a lot of your fav OCs!! I associate you with Claude a lot! You also have a mermaidy CS species and a big interest in Victorian style fashion/time period stuff! I consider you a very active forum member, you not only run quite a few threads, but you reply to a lot of them as well! I think you like to share about yourself and your experiences with others, but you are not too keen on hopping into silly conflicts!
