General Thread for PSAs

Posted 8 years, 5 days ago (Edited 5 years, 6 months ago) by Vespisia

Hello!

8/9: New PSA added.

5/14: 2 new PSAs added.

4/8: New PSA posted and additional information on Squidribs added to relevant PSA.

It was suggested that there should perhaps be a general thread for PSAs which is a fine idea. A place that links to other PSAs and keep things organized.
You can link your threads/PSAs/etc, and I'll add them to the posts. :D
Please Note: I can only accept public PSAs. Anon PSAs are too much of a risk to accept, as they can be open to slander.

Things That Count for PSAs!
-Scams
-Illegally chargebacked (you did a commission, but person claims you never did, for instance)
-Being shifty on doing owed things (taking months on an icon for example, lack of contact or updates, etc)
-Tracing and profiting off of it...
-Etc...

Things That Don't Count!
-Someone has better art than you
-Rude behavior
-Subjective issues
-Dog ate your homework

Obviously, this is just the basic frame work. Each case is different. For instance, someone could go around harassing artists for art and customs, or for people to give up their adopts and whatnot, and that could almost certainly be considered for a PSA...

Of course, it would be great if no more PSAs occur, but in the case they do, I support people posting them because they keep the community safe and will link to them in this general thread. owo/

There'll be two posts, one for PSAs and one for resolved cases! ^^

If they've been active on Twitter, then I'd say go for it if publicly commenting on their twitter posts is the only option you have since they don't have DMs open and haven't been active on their other accounts

ruinedmedic - do you know if they use VK? you might be able to check their activity there without logging in but it's a bit of a hassle since it spams login stuff every so often. i'm not sure how successful chargebacking through your bank/card is with boosty (which will get you banned from the service) but if you paid a great deal of money i would consider that route before you hit the 60/180 day mark (whichever limit your payment source uses).

Does anyone know what the @ of the account Sheller/Jodora/Gil used to make that bulletin they just made thats now taken down?

Yusei Honestly, if the current owner wants to resell it and you think you can put up the necessary money, there's nothing stopping you from buying the character again.
The main thing in the story is that both parties are satisfied.

PKARIA - did you already send them the completed artwork? if not, do not send it to them. if you have, and it's credited to you on toyhouse, i believe you can delete it and i believe you should do so. if they are actively advertising commissions then i would either comment on their profile or in their commissions thread as they have not looked at your PM. if you have another method of contacting them, i would reach out there as well.

if they continue to ignore you (i would give it about 3-5 days max) then i would heavily recommend posting a full service review that includes their username and a report link in case they change it, as well as images outlining the agreed trade and a heavily watermarked version of the art you completed for them.

Vividattraction That's genuinely so disheartening to hear, I'm sorry you're having to deal with this... I'm fairly certain this falls under rule 4.

4.1 Artwork Sourcing

Please ensure all artwork you use is used with permission and properly sourced.

When using free bases, stock photography, or other free assets, keep in mind that image sharing boards, Pinterest, Tumblr/Twitter re-posters, and other image aggregate sites do not constitute an original source. You must provide a direct and accurate link back to the original artist or photographer.

Sometimes re-posters may present themselves as the original source or give permission for people to use their edits when they have stolen the photography or artwork that they used as a base. If you upload this content to TH while erroneously stating it’s being used with permission, you will be held responsible for the theft. If in doubt, or if the source looks suspicious, just do not use the image.

The admin should remove it once they get to the ticket. Sadly, the admin takes super long to reply to tickets :/ I'd recommend bumping your ticket weekly and maybe consider sending an e-mail to the support e-mail too. [email protected] Hopefully that will get it seen quicker. Until then, have you considered writing a small PSA on this user?
