The Age of Lights brought about machines which completely revolutionized and changed the way people lived. Here I document the most important of those machines.

The Machines, an Introduction


In the near future, "the big quake" struck the state of California which caused widespread destruction and essentially leveled the land. Countless landmarks were ruined, lives upset and houses leveled. To some it seemed like the end but to a select few, that didn't end the state. The passion of the people for their state drove them to rebuilding.  And the state of California slowly became the technological hotspot as people saw the opportunity to create something completely new and innovative.  The land was ripe for the seeds of invention.  In addition to this, in an attempt to waive off the growing environmental crisis, leading scientists and engineers devised a system of large machines that were advertised as the "Saviors of the West Coast".  These included fusion generators, solar arrays, enormous greenhouses, information centers, etc.  In place of modern living, stores, and what normally makes up most cities, this city,
