Character Bio template by Squirrelette on deviantART - https://www.deviantart.com/squirrelette/art/Huge-600-Question-Character-Template-438820313 While I worked on this on dA, I had to remove some sections of the template due to character limit. Some sections of the template were repetitive or not relevant to the character in question which is why I also removed them for those reasons.

Author's Notes

Regarding Age Progression

Cat is 18 at the start of her journey with time skips of three to five years in each volume.

Regarding Symbols

Cat has a personal symbol and a collective symbol regarding to the series as a whole. Her personal symbol - the waxing crescent moon and a snowflake (where a star could go) represent the following:

  • Crescent moon - chastity, femininity
  • Snowflake - purity, fragility, rebirth

The crocus flower is symbolic to her hometown of Saffron Hills as their main export is the saffron spice and the town is surrounded by hillside crocus fields. In the language of flowers, the crocus flower represents youthful joy and love; this being said, harvest festivals are held every year in the fall and winter. Various treats are made with the collected saffron threads to share among family and friends. Though the spice is not as coveted as the saffron grown in the Middle East, many baked goods in Saffron Hills are a hit with tourists.

Voice Actress notes

Cat's voice actresses are not totally confirmed but I do want to indicate her vocal range by referring to them as to what she'd typically sound like. I'll use the term 'understudy' loosely in context as to if I somehow change my mind from the original VA I picked before.

  • For Marcella Lentz-Pope as Cat, she sounds similar to Corrin from Fire Emblem Fates/Fire Emblem Heroes, but her speech patterns are similar to Priscilla from Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword.

  • For Miyuki Sawashiro, she could stand to sound somewhere close to Haruka Nanami from Uta no Prince Sama but sound more calm and mature when interacting with her friends. Cat can be witty, and Ms. Sawashiro is natural at using her wit. When Cat is in the heat of battle, Ms. Sawashiro can channel Ur from Fairy Tail.

  • Understudies for her English voice include Hedy Buress, Stephanie Lemelin, Jeannie Tirado, Ashly Burch, and Danielle Judovits. It's most likely Danielle Judovits may provide Cat's singing voice; a sample of her singing can be heard here: Danielle Judovits - Don't Rain On My Parade (I could also sing myself, but I hate my voice!)
  • Understudy for Cat's Japanese voice is Ayumi Ito.

Character Inspirations

Cat's character can be inspired from the following given their commonalities:

  • Princess Zelda - both are wise beyond their years, self-sacrificing, caring, and gracious. Cat bears a similar appearance to Zelda's Twilight Princess incarnation.
  • Melia Antiqua - both are modest, humble and kind, never looking down on others. Expresses humor with a straight face.
  • Azura - both are stoic as a result of mistreatment, only opening up to those they are close to; sometimes their stoicism can cause others' feelings to be hurt without meaning to. They are slightly emotional, but are kindhearted and surprisingly knowledgeable about many things.
  • Elsa - both are elegant, reserved, mature, no-nonsense, artistic, merciful, classy, sensitive, introverted, independent, benevolent, pragmatic, and compassionate. Both have ice powers, although Cat's powers are inherited through an enchanted talisman. Like Elsa, Cat will go on a journey of self-discovery and save her homeland from a foreign threat.
  • Madoka Kaname - both are kind and helps everyone to the best of their abilities although they are rather timid in some situations. Cat’s relationship with her best friend, Shea, often parallels that with Madoka Kaname and Homura Akemi
  • Sam - Cat is often depicted in a leader role among her group of friends given her intelligence and charisma despite not wanting to bring attention to herself.
  • Yuna - Like Yuna; Cat is a kind, honest, passionate, and a loyal humanitarian with a strong conviction to complete any task she feels dutifully towards. However, she can be a little naive, always believing the best in people, and often places others' needs above her own. She is willing to carry the burdens of others and sacrifice everything she has to defeat the threat of her homeland, Master Xyro.
Other Info
  • I recently changed Cat’s surname to distinguish her between herself and her creator being yours truly, and because the previous surname, Rogg, is a personal family name; so, I will take the family name and give her a new surname, Reichart (pronounced like ‘rike-heart’).
