a lot of these are old or older, consider them all noncanon because i can't make up my mind, they're not all finished, and i tend to write the same scene over and over again. this is just to have them all posted somewhere

Langen & Oscar

honestly, Oscar just wants to be able to sleep well at night. he just wants to be guilt-free. his mind is heavy and it drags his body along, every day, until he goes to bed. he really appreciates having Langen there. Langen is able to carry him, metaphorically, when he snaps and can’t do it himself. when he snaps, it’s hard to notice. but he just simply loses motivation, loses energy, all so suddenly. he gets hollow behind the eyes. Langen’s trying to convince him to get therapy, but Oscar insists that it’s okay. it’s not really that bad, and he’s okay. Langen will laugh because he doesn’t know what else to say and then he’ll say that they should check their emails, just in case their professors emailed them something important this late at night. and Oscar will agree, and he’ll rest his head on Langen’s head as he scrolls through gmail, and Langen’s eyes will flicker towards the time on his phone, and it’s 12pm. the air conditioning is a bit loud today, and the clouds outside move quickly so the moonlight comes and goes. Oscar’s roommate, Joanne, is sound asleep, her back faced towards them. with an exaggerated, faked exasperated sigh Langen will push Oscar off of him and get him to lay down, and Oscar won’t resist. as Langen puts his phone to charge on the side table, Oscar will reach out for him, and pull him closer, and they’ll lay against each other and Oscar will just feel so light, it’s like he’s floating. he’ll curl his fingers around Langen’s sweater (he isn’t very confident in his body and always wears it to bed), and though he’s the taller one, he’ll tuck his head against Langen’s neck, and he’ll be the first one to fall asleep. when he feels Oscar’s rhythmic breathing against his back, he’ll finally let himself close his eyes and rest
