The Wildlands

The place untouched by humans

Outside of the boundaries of human society, exists the wildlands. Named for their untamed nature and diverse population of pokemon, the wildlands are sections of the map that are almost completely void of human interaction. The closest in-game example would be the wild area in Galar - where pokemon live their day to day lives and wander freely, but this time without humans for them to chase.

While there are railroads and highways connecting regions that are carved through the wildlands, that's about it. There's been treaties to protect them as much as possible, as to provide pokemon a habitat away from human development, and to preserve the natural environment.

The pokemon of the wildlands are often much stronger than those inhabiting areas where humans regularly visit, as there's nobody around to catch or curve them. While people are allowed to enter the wildlands, they're rightfully categorized as dangerous and most respect the privacy of the pokemon there.

For sections of the wildlands, there is a designated Shaymin set to protect it. While small, they do quite a good job of preventing poachers or others with ill intent from hurting their homes.
