- Dynamax:
- Retconned and bundled into mega evolution. Pokemon do not actually grow super large (though they do grow a bit larger), but exhibit the power surge and slow release of infinity energy that megas do. G-maxes are functionally the same as regular megas and may be used anywhere with a mega stone, while pokemon without mega forms may only go 'mega' in Galar - this is because of the stagnant excess of infinity energy in the region caused by eternatus.

- Eastern continent:
- The continent on the east of the world map, made up of Johto, Kanto, and Sinnoh.
I
- Infinity energy:
- The life energy of pokemon themselves. It's released when pokemon die, or in small amounts during mega evolution. It's infinity energy that allows for mega evolution, as well as many of the powers pokemon have. Can controversially be used as an energy source to power devices and mechanics.

- Legends:
- What legendary pokemon are called in Pokeau. There's much more detail here!
- Lunaires:
- Skymother's old palace and home, which sits in the skies of Ultra Space. It holds up the sky, protecting Ultra Space from the Ultra Deep Sea. Nobody can access it, because no matter how much you move towards it, it always seems the same distance away.
M
- Mega evolution:
- A change of form and surge of power caused by a link with a key stone. The pokemon's form temporarily changes, and it slowly releases infinity energy when mega evolved, making mega evolving for too long dangerous. In galar, pokemon don't need a key stone to mega evolve, and some pokemon may exhibit symptoms of being mega evolved without changing forms.

- The continent to the west of the world map, made up of Unova, Galar, and Kalos.
