Kitty Koi and Subspecies

Kitty Kois are humanoids with features of feline ears and a tail of a koi fish. Most Kitty Kois have thin, small fins located where usually human ears are, as well as have gills located on the sides of their neck and thorax/abdomen. Since they are part feline, they may also have features such as slit pupils and even fangs. Kitty Kois are very social beings. Though, it will also depend on the individual’s personality. Their cute features tend to draw a lot of attention outside of their own world.

Kitty Kois are not limited to where they live but many do prefer to be by the water. When they do live further inland, Kitty Kois will end up consuming large amounts of water to keep their tails from getting too unhealthy. It’s best to stay hydrated!!

Kitty Kois love eating a variety of fish and other kinds of seafood. Even with that being the case, they are never opposed to trying different types of food! Though, Kitty Kois do make sure that they don’t eat too much meat! If they do they run a chance of becoming corrupt.

Carni-kois a Kitty-Koi subspecies that can eat a large amount of a variety of different meats. Carni-kois is the type of koi that you may find more common inland since it’s more of a struggle to get to large bodies of water where the major markets are held. Their main habitat is actually up in the mountains as they have made many villages along the mountain side and also within the mountains. Carni-Kois are mainly known for their beautiful butterfly koi tails, thus a fair few others always try to mate with them in order to possibly have an offspring with the butterfly koi tail.. Though, you don’t often see an adult Carni-koi without scars due to the trials every Carni-koi must compete in and finish in order to be considered an adult within the tribe.

Carni-Kois mostly live in the mountains where they utilize the natural hot springs.

White meats, dark meats, fish, any kind of meat related produce their stomachs can handle it!

Since Carni-Kois live more inland since they mostly eat meat and can get a lot of their water from the various pools of water that are around further inland they come off as mostly outsiders when they are seen in public. After you get past the part of them loving different varieties of meat I'm sure you'll love them!

You pushed your limit and now you must pay the price Corrupt Kois are Kitty Kois who have tried to push themselves over their limit when their magic is depelited and try to do another world jump. When a Koi becomes corrupt they go through a series of changes and they make them go into a “high” and go berserk. They will hurt their loved ones and anyone or anything that is within their reach. When they come off that “high” they still have a bloodlust but it’s not as bad as when they first go berserk. Their magic also changes into a magic called Kori. This magic allows them to turn water into ice. Depending on what Magic they had before will determine the strength of their new magic. Corrupt kois can somewhat function in society but most of the time end up being outcasts in fear of them hurting others. There is a way to reverse most of the corruptions, but it is a very long and difficult process. Even still the taste for blood will never leave them.

A corrupt Kois diet isn’t any different then a normal Kitty Kois diet

Corrupt Kois can live in the same environments as regular kitty Kois, but most of the time they are considered outcasts so they will normally live in the outskirts of the city or in places where they can be away from others in general.

Being corrupt it affects their personality a little bit. They can be a bit harsh when they answer others, but if you can get past that they can still be the same that their friends once knew them.

Corrupt Koi have their own unique magic named Kōri.

The legend of the dragon is real! There’s a legend that say the gods recognized a kois strength and perseverance and turned them into a dragon. That legend seems to have been proven real with the Drago-koi. Though they are barely seen, a drago-koi has been sighted every now and again. Many wonder just how advanced the drago-koi society is since they live up in the floating mountains. We may never know, or will we find out sooner than expected?

Drago-kois have a particular diet of fish and poultry for their meats. From them living in the floating mountains their diets have adapted to that environment. They also eat various fruits and veggies as well.

Living in the Floating mountains is a mysterious place. Not many have been there personally, but some speculate that there are bridges that connect the mountains to each other creating almost a natural utopia up in the air.

These species all correlated together but something happened. The three branches have long since gone from being apart of everyday life to now a legend as if it was a fairy tale. These mysterious creatures have begun to surface from their kingdom Merkoitia. A select amount of Kittykois has been given the honor of joining these merkois and transforming into a merkoi themselves. Just maybe we can learn more about this new subspecies the more we interact with them. They are mainly a cold water species. There have been very few Merkois that have been spotted in warm waters.

Mostly, Shrimp and fish are a heavy part of a merkoi’s diet. But, they are always willing to try fruits and veggies as well.

They have adapted quite well to living in the depths where very few other creatures dare to travel. Merkoi have even established their own glorious kingdom that some may say even rivals that of the surface dwellers in beauty and size. Their buildings are made out of stone and coral, with various seaweeds and anemones for some extra decorations.
