Antigravity

Antigravity naturally occurs in nature in Patissereign, actually!  You can see floating mountains and other pieces of land in various areas.  This phenomenon has been studied to the point where scientists were able to isolate the element responsible for naturally having that ability and mess with it.  Thus, antigrav mechanisms were born.

An antigrav mechanism is a very small (like, maybe the size of a large bottle cap, if that) spherical component that houses the element responsible for anitgrav, as well as specialized conditions to make it operate at its peak.  The device looks kind of like an atom in that the center portion contains the element inside some casing, and a few “rings” crossing over each other on the outside of it.  The rings are what help provide the antigrav effects by charging the element/whatever else needs to happen.

Large things, like small cities and towns, can also be built on an antigravity base and allowed to float in the air!  While this is cool, scientists are still trying to figure out a more steady way to obtain the resources for this, so not absolutely everything is antigrav yet.  Also it’s a tad expensive, again, due to not wanting to drain the supply dry.  But it’s prevalent enough to be a major thing!

The antigravity element replenishes itself naturally, but at an odd pace, thus the hesitation to overuse it.  Research has been done on cheaper and synthetic alternatives, similar to bitteroot, and good progress is being made!
