A wonderful substance extracted from the contents of a specific plant, bitterroot is, besides myxoreign power itself, the only substance able to somewhat withstand myxoreign toxin! It acts as a sort of bleach, able to disinfect, clean up myxoreign goop (which is notoriously sticky and viscous) and be used in medicine to cure toxin poisoning. There are many other uses that could be listed, but the main ones would be:
-Medicine
-Cleaning
-Hazmat suits
-Ammo for bitterroot tech weapons
-Barriers for cities located in the Polluted Swamplands
To not drain the supply (which would be a nightmare for the entire world), scientists have developed a synthetic version that works fairly well, and only requires a very small amount of natural bitterroot. This allows the real thing to be saved for very serious instances, such as dealing with a myxoreign in full form, or venturing near a newly condemned (Cursed Swamplands) area.
Myxoreign (Hazmat) Suits
Myxoreigns are extremely toxic in their discharged form, and therefore jestefections and sugar haveners need special suits in order to not get poisoned. These suits are made out of a Kevlar like material and also a layer of airtight plastic, both of which are made out of heavy amounts of bitterroot in order to keep the wearer safe.
