Polluted Swamplands
The Polluted Swamplands are quite horrifying areas: areas that have been ravaged by a slew of myxoreign toxin! A myxoreign in discharged or worse form (like full form) will poison the area around them very easily. If left unchecked, the entire area will start deteriorating into a toxic version of itself! These areas looks like melted, poisoned, goopy places full of slime and toxins, with the very air being hazardous. Said locations can be very small, such as the size of a small neighborhood, up to the size of an entire country! Because the area is so poisoned, only myxoreign power itself can keep it from seeping into the other neighboring areas.
Inside a polluted swampland, some cities can be found, called "ports". These cities have a massive bitterroot barrier around them that's constantly running and fresh air circulating inside to keep the residents safe. Some of these ports are even floating in the air to avoid the goopy land below that can clog up the protective measures. Special train and plane systems have been created to safely allow people to get in and out of these ports. Incoming planes and trains go through a rigorous bitterroot decontamination process before entering. People boarding these modes of transportation must board with hazmat suits on, even though the transportation is typically "clean" with its own decon system. Travel can cause some toxins to seep in, and its more effective to focus on deep decon at the stations rather than use extra valuable bitterroot for the trip.
Cursed Swamplands
A cursed swamplands area is similar to a polluted swamplands area with one horrible exception: it's been condemned by a myxoreign. These areas are completely uninhabitable as it contains full form toxin, which is far beyond what any bitterroot technology can handle. They're also completely filled with fire, everything eternally burning with a special wrathful fire of the myxoreigns themselves. This fire burns through anything and everything, and can only be contained by myxoreign power. Getting burned by it gives you a little wonderful piece of their wrathful fire attached to your soul until judgement day!
