Crysturins are radiant creatures that reside all over the remaining fragment of Runavera. They are passive kirins that reside in herds of up to 15 and commonly live alongside the Hallucian as their greater guardians. While they generally lack magic abilities they make up for it in brute strength, able to deliver a fatal strike to a human.

Appearance

While Crysturin have no variants or regional varieties that have been discovered, they are not lacking in variety. Their fur is known to appear with natural equine colours and patterns, as with their mane. However their crystals and scales are known to be found in a wide array of colours. The only colours that have never been seen on a Crysturin is gold (or palomino, etc, any of those gold-ish coat colours). It seems like the colour is impossible to appear in their species.

Cyrsturin can have up to nine tails. Much like a kitsune, the number of tails dictates how powerful their magic is, ranging from no magic (one tail) to a terrifying amount (nine tails). They usually do not tend to show signs of magic capabilities unless they have 6 or more tails. Crysturin have vents alongside each side of their spine that releases a powerful flame to defend themselves and intimidate prey. Their mane is always found to be floating as if there was a lack of gravity to pull it down.

Information Offspring and Reproduction Magic Communication

Crysturin are found throughout Runavera and are known to reside alongside Hallucians. Both live in harmony together and Crysturins have quickly evolved to be mostly unaffected by the Hallucian signature defence mechanism. They are notoriously difficult to tame or even befriend, as they are quite stubborn in nature and much prefer living in the wild amongst their herds. Some have learned to harness their magic in a way that they can protect their blended herd.

Crysturins have a long gestation period, of roughly 13-15 months. They give birth to a single offspring, known as a foal. Within hours of coming into the world the foal will be capable of standing and walking around. Crysturin mate for life with a single partner, living the duration of their lives as a widow if they lose their mate. A Crysturin foal is a quick learner, learning how to interact with the rest of the herd and the hierarchy involved in living with the herd.

While most Crysturin are unable to harness any form of magic, certain individuals are more sensitive to the magic pollution in the atmosphere and learn to control defensive magics, allowing them to create shields and force fields. Crysturin are unable to harness any other type of magic. When they use their magic, the crystal orbs on their sides will glow.

Crysturin are capable of communicating amongst each other and often times other species through their innate telepathic abilities. Otherwise they communicate with sounds that match that of a fox and a deer.
