Silas Airie's Links
Silas has QUITE the number of thoughts about Arabella. She's frustrating and difficult. They either butt heads or mutually laugh at someone else's problems. But despite all the complaining she does on this journey, she's still here, somehow, and provides input when needed.
So when he learns the basics of her situation, he decides not to pry. Though he doesn't have the full picture, it's enough to recognize that he doesn't have the words to help her - that he doesn't have any idea what she's gone through due to their vastly different upbringings. If she ever decides to speak more, he's open ears, but the greatest kindness he knows he can do now is to pretend it was never brought up to begin with.
Once in a while, they manage to combine their forces of snark against a common enemy, as it were, but for the most part, Arabella finds Silas to be a much easier target than he tries to demonstrate. She finds his feelings on friendship and togetherness to be twee at best, and would much prefer he left her out of it.
Silas finds a lot of comfort talking to Lyrica. He finds her whimsical side of her fun (even if she teases him at times), and appreciates her ability to reign that in when it's time to get serious. They enjoy their shared adventures of 'causing mischief' and 'sneaking around' despite their mixed results, and would gladly place his trust in her anytime.
Silas is open and reasonable--he's easy to read, and that makes him easy for Lyrica to be around, as she doesn't have to put much thought into their interactions. Fun to tease. Trustworthy.
Valdsam is a welcome voice of reason in the ever increasing party they've formed. Silas does his best to respect him when he can - but Valdsam will forever regret Silas knowing that his nickname is Whiskers. Finds his 'gruff exterior, soft interior' personality fairly cute.
Valdsam can see Silas's misgivings about fighting, even if there's a layer of quips disguising it. He's dealt with plenty of nervous newbies in the past, but this one certainly isn't going to make training easy. A little respect would be nice.
Silas tries to keep his sass in check given that she's his boss, but does appreciate her ability to speak genuinely with everyone, regardless of background. He's sure when the time comes to take the reigns, she'd make a great leader, even if her current insecurities can bring herself doubt at times.
He's another one of Fleto's ilk, just like Caz, but he seems much more levelheaded than Caz so hopefully he won't cause as much trouble. In fact, that levelheadedness is much appreciated considering the rest of the new recruits...
Bullies Valdsam, which is plus. Audrey's eccentric nature is a bit curious at best, but he generally finds conversation with her entertaining, at the least.
Silas obviously gets his kicks from poking fun at the others' serious demeanors, so she can appreciate his levity. Him and Caz tumbling around can be distracting at best, but it could be much much worse so she'll take it.
Silas finds Caz naive, but well-intentioned. He tries to fuel Caz's optimism in hopes that a little of it rubs off of Silas in turn, and keeps a watchful eye to ensure that he comes out of the combats they get into unscatched. Definitely sees Caz like one of the performers, and would be open to letting him join if he ever expressed the interest.
Silas finds it funny that Caz can't even muster the courage to confess to the girl he likes, but doesn't tease him too much about the ordeal.
Silas is super cool, running around with that group of performers! There are so many Laguz and Branded and Beorc together, and while they obviously don't always agree they still care for each other. Caz likes to think it's just like the Meihua. Silas will fit in great!
