Arabella's Links
Once in a while, they manage to combine their forces of snark against a common enemy, as it were, but for the most part, Arabella finds Silas to be a much easier target than he tries to demonstrate. She finds his feelings on friendship and togetherness to be twee at best, and would much prefer he left her out of it.
Silas has QUITE the number of thoughts about Arabella. She's frustrating and difficult. They either butt heads or mutually laugh at someone else's problems. But despite all the complaining she does on this journey, she's still here, somehow, and provides input when needed.
So when he learns the basics of her situation, he decides not to pry. Though he doesn't have the full picture, it's enough to recognize that he doesn't have the words to help her - that he doesn't have any idea what she's gone through due to their vastly different upbringings. If she ever decides to speak more, he's open ears, but the greatest kindness he knows he can do now is to pretend it was never brought up to begin with.
Possibly the only person with a lick of sense, but Arabella still carries a healthy fear that she's going to become a science experiment with Audrey around.
Arabella's impressive ability to summon fire without the help of a tome piques Audrey's interest, yet that hasn't been the best part about meeting her. Finally she has someone who understands just how crazy this whole ordeal is.

She's not the talkative type. That's fine, she's still helping with the Meihua and that's what counts! Not to mention, her dancing abilities really liven up the mood, even if she only pulls them out on the battlefield.
For all that he attempts to be a hardass, it seems he doesn't quite command the respect necessary to do anything with it, which is funny. She won't forget how he didn't think of the danger he'd be putting those without the protection of status like his in when proposing their trip to Barrhurst.
It's like the universe packaged up all of the traits that bug Valdsam when present in a soldier and sent them his way in the form of a sassy performer. She keeps morale up on the battlefield so she's at least useful, even if she can't hold her own in a straight fight. If only she'd let him train her...
Naive at best. Arabella isn't above taking advantage of that obliviousness to keep her own pockets lined. Mirësi's refusal to accept the privilege of her position and the inherent way it affects her dynamics with others has started to become annoying.
Another member who demands quite hefty payments... Mirësi sees her value as one of the Meihua, and thinks maybe being around the others will do her some good though, so she'll keep the dancer's pockets lined for now.
