Theis, head of the royal guard, receives news of ill will towards the crown princess and her ailing father.
A week later, an assassin infiltrates the palace. Theis is standing watch in the princess' wing, where she intercepts the attacker. All at once, her work is more than just formalities. Suddenly, lives are on the line.
During a scuffle that's harder than it should be, Theis manages to disarm the would-be assassin and remove her mask, but only long enough to get a glance at her face, before she slips away and out the nearest window.
Now the palace is in a scramble to identify and trace the suspect. Theis spends days describing the infiltrator to the investigators' sketch artist, struggling to get a proper likeness in drawing. You know, that assassin was kind of attracti...haha, what?
