Captain Faustus's Links
Faustus nodded his head. "Zurran." He said nothing more. He was aware of Zurran's power and had no issue with what possessed him. Nothing needed to be said, and that was why he liked Zurran so much.
Zurran nodded his head in return. "Faustus." Zurran respected the Captain for his skill and his accomplishments. He appreciated that there was not much else between them.
"RAZE." Faustus started marching forward at a high speed.
"Oh! Hello, Faustus! I sure do hope Zurran didn't mention anything about last night!" Raze was NOT looking forward to this!
Faustus scowled and narrowed his eyes. "I am here to discuss your work ethic."
Remus stuffed a bunch of unfinished forms into his desk. "And I was just about to go out for drinks. Later!"
"You have aided us before and for that I can respect you."
“Your respect is noted, Captain, yes-yes it is. Should your soldiers have any-any more blisters, do send them my way, yes-yes.”
"Vimal Kumaran." Faustus' tone was commanding and almost urgent. He approached Vimal quickly, fists clenched. "Is there reason WHY your logistic reports were late yet AGAIN? I am tired of being approached about such things that are NOT my responsibility. Is it not YOUR duty to make sure EVERYTHING is in line? IS IT NOT?" Faustus raised his voice and loomed over the shorter man. "Medical and evacuation procedures are STILL out of date, supplies and equipment distribution is STILL delayed, and this facility looks like a beggar's home! I expected you to be better, at least better than REMUS of all people! If this is all not fixed by tomorrow, you WILL see me again, and you WILL be SORRY. ARE WE CLEAR, KUMARAN?"
He gulps and nods his head in understanding, the outspoken sorcerer finally at a loss for words. "Y-yes!" he pauses for a moment before bowing his head in fear. "Yes sir! I will fix this at once!"
Faustus rarely paid attention to certain members of Noxus’ higher society, but Seulki was one not to ignore. He did appreciate the respect; and in turn, he found her own skills impressive. “Yes, I know they will. Your readiness is noted, Seulki.”
She bows politely towards Faustus and places her hand over her chest, her body language unusually cordial in comparison to others she conversed with. She enjoyed the company of Faustus and respected him. "Faustus, if you ever require assistance, you need only call upon me. I will ensure things get done."
"Should you need your troops back in line, General, just send for me. I will straighten them out." Faustus offered her a salute with his usual hardened, unchanging expression.
"Oh? I've heard rumors of your discipline. I admit, I would like to see this for myself." She gives him a cruel smile that quickly turns into a smirk. "You have my full permission to... enhance their obedience."
“Not the first time I have been compared to such a beast, but it sounds less like an insult coming from you.” His expression never changed, nor did his tone, but somehow, one could tell that he appreciated those words.
"I like that your soldiers clearly fear you. You remind me of a shark, an apex predator who always comes out on top. Let's try our best to not be enemies, hm?" She smiles at him before turning her attention to his soldiers doing a set of drills, watching the desperation on their faces as they struggle to finish.
“When I get my hands on you, you worthless creature, you will immediately learn the definition of ‘STRANGULATE’.”
“I pissed off another blue guy, but this guy really scares me this time!”
"You are the one man that does not seem too affected by presence. Fortunately for you, I have no reason to raise my voice at you."
"I'm not sure what I'll need to do to get you to yell at me a little...or at least get a little man-handled?"
Faustus continued his patrol, stopping only when he noticed a street performer quickly packing up ahead. He said nothing, only staring at her, watching her every move, eyes fiery and intimidating. He was just a little disappointed that he missed the show.
"This guy scares the shit out of me. We pack up shop whenever he walks by, not risking it." She crosses her arms and turns her head up, tapping her foot against the hard ground. "I quite like him! He's a stand-up guy!" Anjali quickly flicks Dhaval in the forehead.
“I will not ignore your talent, Vanzant, even if your clan has turned its back on you.” The captain’s demeanor was still hardened and intense — but within his tone, something a little more sympathetic.
Shocked at the kindness coming from the notoriously stern Captain, Vanzant straightened his posture. What about him earned this soft spot? "Your sympathy has not gone unnoticed, Captain. I thank you. Despite all of this, I am proud to be one of Noxus' champions."
"Her work is more than adequate. Her commitment and enthusiasm for the Noxian forces is not something I have ignored. We have no issues so long as she keeps it that way."
"Most find him insufferable but I quite like Faustus. He's a man of his craft, I appreciate his dedication. I'd love to spar with him some day."
"That scamp is always getting into trouble. It does not matter to me who his parents are, I will fix any mistakes made, no matter the cost."
"I don't usually care about honorifics and the like but I always remember to be on my best behavior whenever Captain Faustus is around. Much as I enjoy punishment, his isn't the fun kind."
“Strong and durable. There is no time nor any need for discussion, for he and I are mere weapons to be wielded by the hands of our nation.”
“I will continue to make my attempts to recruit her for our cause. A powerful mage such as she should not be ignored.”
"I am sure the Captain means well, and were it perhaps a different world, I would consider.." Her tone changed, carrying a sort of bitterness. "But I have no interest in bringing any sort of "honor" to my family name."
“You’re a talented woman, Lady Masuyo. I am quite satisfied that you chose our side. I appreciate your offer, but my blades are well enough for me already.”
“You always keep things in order, Captain. I appreciate your work. Perhaps you would be interested in some modifications for your blades?”
“Lady Eleftheria is a good soldier, definitely one of the more responsible ones under Zurran’s command. She is familiar with discipline and properly wielded strength. I commend her for this.”
"Everyone is so scared of him. I can't say I get it! Once you grow up around Avalon, you won't fear a little discipline. Faustus is a good man, a little gruff for my liking but I bet he would be able to loosen up a bit given the proper motivation."
"He is nothing more than a criminal from the past now. Should he ever return, he will be met with death."
"The brutal Captain Faustus! He doesn't know brutal. I would be so glad to show him."
“It is not often that I am approached in such a way. I may take you up on that offer.” He knows. He definitely knows.
"Faustus, you've got a good head on your shoulders. I wouldn't mind having a drink or two sometime. You know about the battlefield and I know about the dance floor... We have much in common, you know."
“My words are never wasted. You may only serve your own interests, but the hierarchy is the only reason you are here — or matter at all. Never forget that.”
"Faustus, have you come to tell me how I've been naughty naughty Nahki? Can't you sense that your words are wasted upon me? I will do as I wish, for if nothing else my efforts serve Noxus. You prattle and prattle on and on and yet... I sense that you are intimidated by just what I can do. You know that you cannot compare to me. Does perfection scare you, my little captain?"
“Your cockiness in the matter will be your downfall.”
"You would make a fine opponent. Should our blades ever cross paths, just know that I will be the victor of our bout."
“Send what you would like. With a schedule like mine, I cannot promise the longevity of its life. Apologies.”
"Captain, would you like a bouquet delivered to your office? I think your space could use a bit more cheer. Don't worry, I will be sure to arrange only the most coordinated of displays for your space. It will not clash with the interior, I assure you."
“Wait, I haven’t even— and he’s gone. Why do the most eccentric ones have so much power?”
"Oh, Captain! Aha, wow, look at the time! I'm afraid I don't have any time to hear about joining the Noxian Military today, what a shame! Byehaveagoodday!" He rushed his last words as he started immediately going a different direction!
“Valedon. Yes, I know the name. Exceptional soldier, by far. While I did not face enemies alongside him, I’m fully aware of his capabilities. Often, I use him as an example when training recruits.”
"Captain Faustus has done well to earn his place and the respect he has. I personally did not serve beside him, but I know well of him, and I know better than to wrong him. Not that I would even have any reason to. He has my respect."
