Zurran's Links
“Hm.” Zurran definitely did not care. Routine patrols like this were not at all his favorite thing to do. At least this Vastaya guy was always prepared.
"I have all my permits, you can go now. You're scaring the customers"
“A mysterious woman who I have only seen once. She makes me suspicious.”
“I know of the Fervid Curse. He is nothing but a tool for the Grand General to wield… I do pity him. I wonder how much of his will he has left…”
“This one is suspicious. The lizard needs to leave.”
"The man was just like any other Noxian warrior: a tower of darkness, a shadow blocking out the light from the street lamps or maybe even the sun itself if you were short enough. His hair was long and black, like a waterfall of darkness spilling from his head, all the way down to his muscled chest; and hell knew that shirt was fighting for its life. He was clad in dark armor, typical for a Noxian soldier; he adorned a skull-shaped helmet with red plumage on his head, signifying his higher rank over the grunts around him. — But despite the intimidating appearance you would expect from a general of an expansionist country, there was something about him that seemed almost unreal and otherworldly — empty almost — as if he was not truly a man of his own. Beneath that helmet was a dark secret, and spirits above, I was itching to crack it.”
“Raze, you are a fine warrior and an excellent ally, but you have a number of issues I need you to fix as soon as possible. All of these frivolous pursuits need to be put at a lower priority… This is not the first time I have told you this.”
“Oh, Zurran. If only you weren’t a permanent stick in the mud. I bet the ladies would just eat you up if you came along with me on my night adventures, huh? Join me, at least one time! The Triferix doesn’t have to know! …and there is that stare again. You give me the creeps sometimes, you know? Learn to relax…”
“Vimal is skilled at what he does; and for that, he has my respect. We often to not engage in small talk. Fine by me. Though, I do have to rescue him from Raze’s antics from time to time. I sense that I intimidate Vimal in some way, but such things aren’t new to me.”
"Zurran is the best superior I could have asked to have. I sometimes wonder whether or not he likes me but he hasn't kicked me out yet so I assume that means good things? He's so difficult to read! I have an easier time understanding what Eleftheria is feeling. I don't really wish to get on my commander's bad side, not at all. Sorry, I'm rambling."
"I am not too concerned with this one so long as they do not cause any trouble. Despite that, I am no stranger to recognizing beauty."
"Oh, wow... he's... nevermind! There's absolutely nothing that interests me about this tall, strong, mysterious man... nothing at all! I don't even know what a man is!"
"This was a unique-looking Vastaya me and Raze saw on our patrol. He was doing nothing out of line, so I had no business with him. I had to order Raze to put him down back onto the ground... I will have to say that I am amazed at how well his cures worked on my troublesome colleague."
"This one is surely-surely an intimidating figure. I do know that despite his rank, he really is only-only a lapdog for the Triferix's dirty work. I met him alongside the other big fellow in the marketplace while they were patrolling, yes-yes. He did tell his lieutenant to put me down, so I did appreciate that, mhm-mhm. He does not seem to say much, not at all, no-no."
“Your pity is noted, but unnecessary. Despite our positions, I respect your resolve and loyalty to your people, as well as your resilience. All of your time and energy must be utilized to serve their needs — do not waste it all on what could have been. Perhaps you are correct, however… Perhaps, in another world, our lives would have mingled differently. My true fate is one that cannot change, and so long as I walk on upon this world, I will remain your enemy until this curse is no more.”
"Zurran... by all accounts I should feel contempt for you like I do for most other Noxians but I cannot bring myself to feel anything but sympathy. Your empire has hurt us both, and as much as I want to liberate both my people and yourself... I cannot bring myself to do that. We both know what liberation for you means and I.. I cannot kill someone I respect. I wish that we had met in a universe where we were not enemies, I would have taken you to Kyren and shown you the beauty of this world. One day, when we both move on to the realm above, I'm sure we will dance together as friends, and not what we are presently."
“This creature of death offers peace — but even if I could decide for myself, I know far better than to fall for such tricks. The Isles are a wicked place. Not to be trusted unless I want another curse of some sort to shoulder…”
“A poor wretched soul. I can sense that darkness within his veins; I pity this existence of his. He is certainly strong and tenacious, a soul so unyielding. Become a part of my loving family, Cursed One, and let me release you.”
"No, I do not-- You are-- Errgh... This woman is persistent. ...For once, I wish Raze was here to help me deal with this."
"I love a big, brooding man like Zurran. I just know one little compliment would make him fall apart~."
“Raze’s youngest brother… The one that disappeared some years ago. I never knew him personally, nor ever spoken to him, but he is mysterious. One cannot help but be jealous of his choices.”
“General Zurran… I know him as my older brother’s superior. I am unsure if the stories of his curse are a legend or not, but if they are real, I feel sorry for him. At least I was able to carve my own path…”
"I do not often concern myself with my lieutenant's family, but I am aware of his younger brother. He is not so fond of me, but that hardly matters."
"Just a puppet they put in charge for careless fools like Raze. I care not for this one, but I do hope that one day he is ordered to do something about my nuisance of a brother..."
“There is only one cure — and I would not wish it upon my worst enemy. Your words are merely honeyed, and for that I’ll refuse you at every turn.”
"Your curse is of great interest to me. Surely you wouldn't mind if I investigated it to replicate on my thralls? Sure, they may already obey my every will without question but I would love to have complete control, without a single chance of being disobeyed. It'll serve the will of Noxus so you can't possibly refuse. Hell, maybe we could even find a cure if you need more motivation to work with me."
Zurran was not surprised that his condition was not fully understood; but he did not care enough to really correct anyone. “I am better suited to be wielded than to wield.”
"You command so much power at the tips of your fingers and yet... you are nothing more than a faithful servant." She scoffs and scowls, showcasing her disdain for Zurran's unwavering loyalty.
Zurran examined the woman for a moment, taking note of her features and the uncertainty in her eyes. “Steer clear. That is the wise thing to do.”
She cocks her head curiously at the large man, immediately recognizing the insignia on his armor as being that of Noxus. "A Noxian.... What brings someone like you to Bilgewater?"
“I can not blame you for what happened in Piltover. At the very least, it brought one of our best back to us.”
“Zurran, you’ve always scared the shit out of me, but at least you’ve always been on my side of things. Well, at least until Raze gets involved. It’s truly a wonder how much your body can take. I’ve patched up your nastiest wounds and you’ve barely even flinched.”
Zurran nodded his head in return. "Faustus." Zurran respected the Captain for his skill and his accomplishments. He appreciated that there was not much else between them.
Faustus nodded his head. "Zurran." He said nothing more. He was aware of Zurran's power and had no issue with what possessed him. Nothing needed to be said, and that was why he liked Zurran so much.
Zurran paid little mind to the noble eyeing him. Just another citizen, he thought. Although, he did have a few suspicions about this one...
Cyran smirked a little and brought his cup to his lips as he watched the famed Noxian warrior from across the hall. He rarely talked to Zurran, but he always enjoyed seeing him in the room. Oh to catch him without all of that armor...
Zurran thought little of much else and dealt with many irritating people on the daily, but this woman, Anjali, was not so bad to be around. Zurran admitted to finding her act at least a little entertaining; but something about that cobra was disturbing him, or rather, his curse. Plus, that serpent seemed quite fixed on him. He would be cautious.
"I like this guy! Every time that we've talked, he's been pretty nice. He doesn't seem like the type to be very interested in snake charming though...." Dhaval wraps himself around her arm and stares at the large man, seemingly enchanted by his presence.
“Devilish thing. I care not for what you are and who you serve: leave. This is your final warning.”
"A poor soul cursed to serve Noxus until his last breath, if only there was a way to break you free, hm? I could help you out... for a price, doesn't that sound tempting?" He chuckled as he awaited a response
“He is strong and steadfast. For what had happened, I cannot find myself blaming him for abandoning his post — something I do not often care for. I envy his ability to choose.”
Hmmm. Admittedly, I admire Zurran's dedication to Noxus. He is willing to do whatever it takes for the security of Noxus. We are similar in that regard...
“Wretched creature. My soul is not one for the likes of you to take. I know my place; you best learn yours. Stay where you belong or I shall drag your inanimate corpse back to the wasteland of wence you came.”
“You only have one way to be free; but your end does not have to be a tragedy, cursed one. Close your eyes and hear his song… The embrace of oblivion will give you what you seek. There is no agony, there is no emotion — only purity, undeath most beautiful. You want this… We shall give it to you.”
"One of Commander Darius' lieutenants. We do not speak to one another often; and usually she prefers not to look my way. It matters not."
"I've always had an interest in how the Commander's mace works. Alas, I don't think he would be one to give up that information so willingly. Not to mention that I find him to be quite... intimidating."
Zurran felt no need in explaining that his situation was an impossible one. “Leave. I will give you this one chance to flee. Squander it, and you will die. I promise this.”
“You really let some lousy curse tell you what to do? Hohohaha, that’s so precious! If I were you, I would just do whatever I want. And I do! So leave your silly little Noxus behind and serve me, Queen Ancura Pokvi!”
