Personality

A man who always seems tired, Lewis is a mopey and somewhat bitter pessimist who has succumb to the idea that things will never go his way. Despite the extravagant drama of his past, his slightly pathetic attitude nowadays means he has trouble leaving an impression on people, something that he finds disgruntling moreso than upsetting. He's also somewhat desperate when it comes to women, trying and failing often to flirt with them; they'll often be oblivious to his advances or simply repulsed by them. Occasionally, when he gets the opportunity to mentor or instruct people, hints of his proud and confident old self begin to appear, though these quickly flicker out again when he remembers the crushing despair that is his life.

Nevertheless, being the eldest of his group, Lewis still ends up being one of the more serious and wise agents purely by comparison. He has trouble keeping up with the others due to his lack of peculiar ability or combat prowess, but fair play to him for making the effort anyway, you know? He’s also a very proud papa and constantly brags about the achievements of his kid, despite never getting to see them personally.

Arsenal

• Igloo Lewis crouches and holds the shield above his head, using its ice to form a protective dome around him. He is able to form a larger one to house multiple people, but once the dome is formed, it cannot be reshaped. He also must continue to hold the shield above his head in order to retain the dome.

Misc.

• His favourite food is spring rolls.
• His favourite colour is white.
• He is forced to go by his surname at Peculiar Ops as his cohorts deemed his given name to be 'too cool' to suit someone like him. He reluctantly accepts this, as it at least reminds him of how he was addressed when he was a teacher.

Background

After graduating university, Mr. Lewis became a teacher on ancient culture and mythology at a private college for aristocratic families. However, one of his students became infatuated with him, feelings which he wound up reciprocating, and foolishly formed a student-teacher relationship with her. Eventually this resulted in a pregnancy and the resulting scandal saw him dismissed from teaching, his lover casting him as a manipulative degenerate to protect her own reputation and abusing her status to keep him from gaining any custody of their child. His spiral of misfortune continued as he found his social status ruined and was unable to find other decent work. He ended up having to move into a crappy apartment downtown and his diet became more and more built on cheap takeout.

Fortunately, though not ideally, he came into possession of a shield, created by an enigmatic peculiar known as The Craftsman, that had the ability to form ice from its surface. Thus, using this, he was able to secure a position at Peculiar Ops, despite his own lack of ability.

Synopsis

Despite, or perhaps due to, his low-standing at Peculiar Ops, Lewis is tasked with mentoring new recruit Mavis. He has fortunately been kept up to date on his estranged son's life thanks to the boy's kindly butler, and is obsessively proud of him, though he has still been prohibited from any direct contact with him. He also has yet to secure a single date in the eighteen years since his scandal.
