Gwyndolyn Maddox is Eminent of Somnolence, which is otherwise known as the Church of Sleeping Gods. Being Eminent places her at the head of the religion itself, and she also directly governs the Right Hand, Left Hand, and Holy Order of Gaelen, in tandem with the Gaelen government. Her Eminence has so far managed to severely cut down on criminal activity in-country and has been spreading the church's doctrine to those who will listen. She currently resides at a monastery called the Sanctum of Dreams, where she offers free food, shelter, and jobs to those in need.
The world sees her as a kind and charitable person, and these things are not inherently false; in person, however, Her Eminence feels very emotionally distant from the world around her at times. She can become almost unapproachable, even though she would never raise her voice. Those who have been in her presence often report feeling as though she was looking beyond what was in front of her towards something she could not yet see.

Gwyndolyn, like most others who have earned her title over the years, started out living a modest life as a priest. She grew up in the monastery at which she currently resides, and - at a young age - decided to devote herself whole heartedly to Somnolence. Her studies and actions from then onwards eventually made her the prime choice as successor to the title of 'Eminent', wherein she could truly put her lifetime of faith and research to use.
She currently is rallying for worldwide change, and has swayed the hearts of millions with her well-intentioned plans to make the world a better place. She has gathered the Knights of the Holy Order once more in order to protect the populace from demon activity, and has been coordinating with her advisors, Rook and Bishop, to bring her hopes and dreams to fruition.
