Mr. Cat's Links
Another one of his adopted sons! Admittedly North only found him when David was like, a teenager already, but still, not entirely an adult, away from home by like.. a quarter of the whole planet and casually just drugging himself up in dark alleyways because that's what teenagers do apparently. How could he not take that lemur in? And look, he grew up just fine! Finished higher education, very good addition to main science team, and he's so adorable too, I mean just look at him with his pigeons and everything. Overall his adopted sons are great. All of them colourful too. Honestly, look at his real children, all of them bland white wolves with green eyes, and not even one acid-trip-like kitten? Where's his colour barf babies?!
Oh, um, well.. dad is... slightly.. i-intimidating? .. Unpredictable? Nice? Revolting? Confusing. Confusing, mainly. David is grateful for him fixing up slighly skewered life and for giving him the chance to develop his true potential - without dad, David could poootentially be dead from overdose, or some other stuff a homeless young person could die of. But at the same time, his motives are.. well, yeah. What are they? Dad claims he just wants everyone (ESPECIALLY himself, as he often mentions) to be happy, but then you look at Feli- Fli-... mara, or Ernest, or any of other actual kids dad had, and.. you can't really tell. Is this what happiness is to Peter? Or is it just a work in progress? Or another ditched project?
If his parents could drag HIM into power family science business he couldn't give less of a fuck about, then he has every right to do the same to his own children! ...Well, one, to be exact. Edward didn't exactly have the smarts to, and Eleonora is stuck in her goth/anarchy phase. But Ernest, he's great. Yeah okay he's got some problems, but that's to be expected when you've been in a coma for a year and then without half the body for another and your dead grandpa talks to you on a regular basis or something like that. But he's also good at science, and at being a right hand guy, and he's also liked by his adopted brothers. Ellie said he also writes stuff or what? Well, good! He can write all he wants, as long as the lab isn't going bankrupt! Because if it goes, then North sure as hell isn't gonna do anything about that. Unless he somehow feels like it. He SOMETIMES feels adventurous.
...He'd... love to say he HATES his father, but... does he, really? Getting dragged into lab business was awful. Messing up Flix was awful. The whole... screwed up idea of just "taking in children from streets and raising them for science"... well.. in the end, they DID become a family, right? And he wasn't that bad of a father either, probably.. okay, OKAY, more of an older brother honestly. Mom is happy with him running around with constant new ideas and determination and energy of a child, though Ernest can not comprehend what could ever make her fall in love with that man. And, admittedly, she does not know like half the stuff dad actually did. At least she ACTS like she doesn't. ..But yeah, it's less 'hate' and more.. not being able to understand each other leading to a rather confused and confusing father-son relationship. If only.. if only he hadn't messed up Felix so badly, if only Felix was okay and not.. what he i s..
His youngest adopted son! Yeah, he's okay! He WAS supposed to be like turned into a robot, but made of flesh, but like halfway through North realised that it was not worth the money and the effort and also it got boring after a few years. On the bright side tho, the guy can't feel pain now, AND has sick toxic powers. Good trade. Good. North felt a lil bad for dragging the kiddo into this for a while, but then Ernest took over and they live together and it sounds like it's alright. Flix doesn't really talk to him at all, and hasn't in.. uh.. what, 5 years now? But whatever. If he wants to hold a grudge then it's his problem. If Flix has any problems, then North is always up for listening, after all, he likes helping people, but if Flix just won't talk then that probably means he has no problems. It's only logical.
he hates him and his stupid smile and the goddamn soda dispensers and putting the whole concept of society and family and business and science and genetics even goddamn genetics on their heads the whole world upside down because mr. cat wants so experimenting on him like he's a fucking lab rat and if only he wasn't a kid if only he wasnt a kid then he'd burn the whole place down and burn out the cat's eyes with his own spit and only ernest would be left only ernest realised that child experimenting is somehow frowned upon in society and not allowed but no mr. cat had to be an edgy genius but newsflash mr. cat isn't a genius he's a fucking shitstain on this dump of a world and it shouldn't be physically possible for anyone to love him or even like him or tolerate him living breathing enjoying his normal life the normal life he took away from flix and stomped on it and threw it away like a broken toy because flix was never a son never a star he was a toy just a toy
At least one colour-barf baby he was expecting!! I mean yeah he had to find him on his own and apparently he missed out on another colour-barf that was supposed to come attached to this one? But whatever, fine, just one is okay. Also has fancy powers, nice, useful, good. Very helpful and does anything you'll tell him to. Honestly if Ernest wasn't there, he'd probably leave the whole place in Leo's charge!
Interesting guy. Really eccentric, even for a Mobian. Seems to have no bounds and doesn't let anything bound him to anything, but at the same time lets life push him around freely, and he's happy with whatever he might stumble upon. Not only was he aware of Leo's powers and how as a younger boy he tried to mess with Mr. Cat's mind (which he didn't mind at all, and it was certainly not Leo's doing), but he also helped him find a way to.. quite literally magnify them. Leo trusts him and ranks him highly. But of course Mr. Cat ranks Ernest even higher, because he's his actual son.
...So, he can barely remember her, actually, but from what he saw, and from what his father told him... Estra was an idiot, period. NO-ONE asked her to go for that weird ice expedition, yet she still did.. for.. for what? Impressing his dad? Maybe??? Well, they're both dead now! So uh. GOOD FOR HER??
Well alright so the old Star is dead already but THIS ONE AIN'T AND SHE'S. GONNA. FUCK HIM RIGHT UP. OH MY G O D. The ice powers expedition was gonna be- it was - ok maybe it was not absolutely needed, but it. COULD'VE HELPED. AND HIS DAD DIDN'T ALLOW IT. BECAUSE. MONEY??? 'Dangerous'? Oh FUCK OFF. It WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN if there was MORE PEOPLE. But they all wussed out. Ugh. UGH.
Moony has no idea who this man is. But Laira wouldn't want her to hurt people. Let's. Not.
Ellie's dad... wasn't PERFECT. But at the end of the day, he did allow their marriage, and wasn't even that much of a bitch over that whole 'blood feud' between them and Peter's mom's family. He was acceptable. And he accepted Peter. And even if shady and distanced, Ellie claims he was a great father! So yeah uh rip in pieces, I guess.
....
..........
he better take.. good fucking care... of Ellaine........
Yeah they might've been a happily married couple for years now. But. Ernest is still watching his every damn step. This kid always was, is, and WILL be picky as h e l l.
HIS BABY!!! His little daughter. Apple of his eye. Precious. The ONLY frickin' child to share SOME traits with him. ...Well, namely, she's short. But she's FIERCE and has the voice of an angel~ ...Of death. FANTASTIC! All goth and rebellious, but. He knows she loves them~~
...You know what?
Dad rocks. She wouldn't admit that to any of her other siblings, really, cause she knows they're kinda on edge with him. She knows WHY. But he's cool, and yeah, probably can act embarassing, but it's less 'hello fellow children' and more 'i've decided to stay young forever, deal with it'. She's gonna be young forever, too! Fuck all that responsible noise! Plus. Even though he's not good at advice and life, him and mom are there for them, no matter what. Also, mom's better at life. It evens out!
Din's AWESOME. Used to be, and still is! A detective! How cool is that!! THIS guy's gotta have an adventurous life! Didn't uhhhhhhHHHH Ali end up a detective as well or something? Man, they all kinda grew up to be decent people in the end! Dandy!
..... His mom WAS kinda secondhandedly accidentally kinda killed by Cat's dad, though. Oops. Din never seemed to really blame Cat, though. Maybe he didn't know that it was his dad that made the journey possible. Or maybe he just knew Cat hated the guy.
His relationship with Peter was an adventure from start to.... now. They could hate each other and next day be absolute besties, and he's not afraid to say they actually used to be best friends for quite a while! Enough so that after Din's mom died and after Cat got into his 'accident', they supported each other, even if the rest of their group kinda fell apart. Even if they drifted apart eventually, with jobs and families and stuff, Din still likes to catch up with Cat from time to time.
He's weird tbh, but enjoyably weird!
