About
She grew up idolizing and hearing stories of her older relatives and joined the Belles just as most of her ancestors before her. She takes her Oath to Justice and duties very seriously.
Well, until her best friend is suddenly a target of Justice, anyways. She knows the creature has dependably only come for people who were corrupt, but she can't find it in herself to just let Soleil be killed and ends up fighting off the beast to save her, losing an arm in the process.
Justice is pretty pissed about it and before it flees to lick its wounds it passes the mantle of Culling Corruption onto Hyaki, since she thinks her judgment is so fucking great & everything.
So now these two have a assload of secrets to keep cuz they'll definitely be executed & bring shame to their families if anybody finds out.
Personality & Outlook
Very serious, cares a lot about maintaining a good reputation. Community & Tradition are very important to her. One of those people who just IS their job, even off-the-clock she spends free time helping out around town.
The opposite of apathetic. Actively hates apathy as a concept.
When she sees someone struggle, she wants to know how she can help. Her voice is on the deeper-side & she's legally not allowed to say Fuck she doesn't swear or use otherwise-rude language often if ever. Tries extra hard to be a good role model when there are kids around, to the point of awkwardness. Comfortable in most situations but the moment a camera is on her she loses the ability to act like a normal human being.

Belle
Sworn to protect the people of Belvite. Trained to mediate conflicts, as well as physically/magically/verbally deal with dangerous situations.
Electrimancer
Her casting philosophy is that people are depending on her, and she can't let anything happen to them.
• Most of her magical skill is in offensive magic, but she's learned a bit of defensive and first-aid type spells in Belle training.
Prosthetic Arm
A specially-crafted arm free-floats at the elbow and can be controlled at range (up to 10 meters away), also functions as a medium for casting.
Upstanding Citizen
Well-known in her community, comes from a respected family and works hard to maintain that image. Knows everybody in the entire goddamn town, from guard rotation and her off-hours community service if not from just plain old festivals/community events.

Soleil [it's complicated]
Hyaki literally lost an arm and went against everything she believes in to save her, might possibly be in love with her, but Also this being-hunted-down-by-Justice thing is giving her mixed feelings they really gotta talk about that.
August [prosthetic engineer]
The one who made her arm, & they've made a friendship out of the maintenance visits. It's nice to have someone to talk to from outside of town after the Justice fiasco & also she's just really cool & passionate in general. Also she gives her updates on Soleil.
Justice [oath-keeper]
Wow she feels really bad about betraying it, but also it ripped her arm off so like,, complicated. It's still out there somewhere and she's struggling as to what to do about it. She doesn't want its mantle but also has no idea how to make amends to it without several deaths & much dishonor.
Gale [workout bud]
She wasn't super sure how to feel about him for the longest time, him being an out of towner & also bartender had a certain connotation to it that she felt obligated to not associate with very often, but after losing the arm he approached her in kinship about it and now they're like, actual friends.
Kenny [kouhai]
Gale's kid, and potentially a future belle, so Hyaki feels even more like a big sister to her than she does about the general child population of Belvite.
Family [family]
They've had high hopes/been pressuring her to be a certain way since birth, but it's honestly not been much of a problem until recently. She hates lying to them but, also doesn't want to disappoint them. Or die.
