Hopper Greene's Links
[Related] His father is a very strong and smart man! Balthazar is always calm and able to take in the situations around him, he's not scared of anything! Hopper hopes someday to be as brave as him!
[Related] Balthazar adores his son and believes he'll become a great leader. He finds his fear to be just a phase, and that it's good to be that worried and dedicated to the job.
[Best Friend] En is courageous and heroic, he's always charging in to defend someone no matter how grim things look. Hopper both admires that and gets confused by it. Why would you want to fight something so pointless??? Although En's definitely proven him wrong before, and his skills with his swords is what helped lead to him getting his own weapon, Guillotine.
[Best Friend] While Allegretto would visit potential alliances from other kingdoms, En and Hopper were free to meet for their leisure. They met initially whenever their parents would visit each other for meetings, but the more they got to know each other, the more they became friends.
[Related] Revere is one of Hopper's fathers and perhaps his biggest hero. So strong and powerful, and always fighting with grace! The prince admires him and his strength and wants to be just like him!
Revere never thought of having a child, let alone a nervous wreck like Hopper. But in the end, he is Revere's child, somewhat of a happy ending that Beauregard had dreamed of since he was young. With his husband, he personally seeks to teach Hopper how to fight the way he does - regardless of what he wields. Otherwise, what kind of Beauregard would Hopper be if he didn't stand out during a duel?
He may not act like it, but Hopper is Revere's most important person in his life - next to his father. It may be normal for him to what he plans to do, but duelist would kill just to keep his child from dying. He'll stab the backs of anyone just to keep him safe.
Koi is one of three of Hopper's personal knights, and in his opinion, the strongest. She's as powerful as she is cold, and oftentimes one can see the prince hiding behind her.
Koi is one of the knights assigned to protect the Prince. While there's part of her that's confused as to why he's so afraid of everything, given how she believes him to be an even more skilled fighter than herself, she also is protective of him. Though she sees him as her liege and prince, she also sees him as a little brother in need of her protection.
Pike is one of three knights Hopper picked to help protect him. Although to be honest, it seems like Pike doesn't want to be here half the time. Unless... Unless he found something deadly that needs his attention before it gets to Hopper...?!
One of the knights assigned to protect the Prince. While he does tend to shirk his duties a good chunk of the time, it's mostly because he doesn't see Hopper as someone who really needs defending in the traditional sense. Though he'll be the first to throw a punch for him if someone says something unkind about him.
Perch is one of the three knights assigned to protect him. Hopper always feels like he can relax, at least a little, around Perch. Maybe that carefree attitude is infectious...?
One of the knights assigned to protect the Prince. Honestly, Perch doesn't care too much about status or duty and all of that when it comes to Hopper, mostly just enjoying his company as a friend. He loves to see him relax, even just a tad, and hopes that he can loosen up more.
[Love Interest] Ever since Katrin gave Hopper the mask he's been nothing but infatuated with her. He feels comfortable around her (except when the dragons are around) and feels like, for once, he doesn't have to worry as much with her around. But he's terrified of asking her out, especially knowing her distaste for royalty.
[Love Interest] Katrin considers Hopper a very close friend, and enjoys her time with him. She feels like she can be herself around him without worrying about appearances like with other royals. She seems totally oblivious to his romantic feelings for her.
Hopper was hesitant to meet Marco at first, as he is with anyone. His father praised him highly, even saying that the prince's old friend, En, trusted him absolutely too. To Hopper's pleasant surprise, Marco lived up to all the hype. He's kind and gentle to the frogs, and they all seem to love being around him. That's good... Good... The prince is slowly but steadily warming up to him, but is still wary about the magic he can sense off him.
As with Balthazar, Marco was happy to meet Hopper and enjoys spending time with him and all the little frogs. Even if he can't shake the weird feeling that Balthazar wants them to get closer, which Marco has decided to ignore for the time being. And he even is an old friend of En, which makes him want to get along with the frog prince even more. However, Hoppers anxiety rubs off a little on Marco and he wonders what would happen if Hopper (and his father) would find out about his wolf side. After all, wolves eat frogs, don't they? They'd definetely hate him and never let him near the kingdom again, right? Luckily, his worries are mostly neutralized by the presence of F R O G
Heinrich is a great butler, but he's also the scariest person Hopper's ever met. The prince tries to avoid him, terrified of getting scolded, and will bark out agreements if it means getting him to leave him alone. It's not fair, En's butler is really quiet and reserved! How come Heinrich's always charging around like a bull that sees red?!
Hopper is certainly not as confident and wise as King Balthazar, and his upbringing has, unfortunately, been marred by the loathsome Revere, yet Heinrich still supports and respects him. He's royal, after all, and has been born with the qualities of a leader. And at least Hopper's more willing to listen to Heinrich's found logic than his parents.
Hopper's family knew magic that could turn people into animals, and animals into people! He thought it was about time he tried it himself, and experimented with a cat he saw when he was visiting a foreign country. Unfortunately, something went wrong and the cat turned very strong-looking, and scared Hopper to the point of him running away. He is too terrified to rectify this mistake.
He has no idea about this man's existence.
Vika scares the living daylights out of Hopper. Just look at her! She's loud and strong and violent! Danger must follow her everywhere! As scary as she is, though, she doesn't seem to want to hurt him? He very timidly stays around her, both out of his own curiosity for what her motive is, and fear over what would happen if he didn't stick around.
Hopper is such a weird guy... he worries so much about everything and everyone and is probably convinced a bumblebee flying too close to him has it out for him or something. Vika really doesn't understand how he can even live his life like this, that seems so tiring! And surely he isn't THAT weak, is he? Well, he's a good enough guy and he has been nice to her (even if just out of fear), Vika likes him! She's even a bit protective of Hopper, for better or for worse. Now if only he could stop suspecting her of trying to rob him or something... she's moved past that!
