Profile
Arzale Grayat
Basics
Personality
Arzale is a lonely yet optimistic troll who longs for a group of close friends he can enjoy a normal life with. When he was younger, he used to try hanging around the more popular sea dwellers who lived in his underwater neighborhood so that he could feel 'seen.' Unfortunatley, he usually annoyed them with his geeky, fanatic-y personality and drove away his chances with those trolls. Something else that usually ticked off the other seadwellers was Arzale's bad habit of saying more than they should. With his extensive background research and knowledge on the trolls he wanted to befriend, he'd sometimes leak personal secrets or bring up sensitive topics, not realizing his error until it was too late. He moved from group to group trying to find a place where he fit in, but he hasn't had much luck. They've been trying to keep their spirits up by indulging in their hobbies at home including playing video games, boardgames, watching TV, and accessorizing themself. Arzale is very serious about his social media since he feels it's the only place where others bother to acknowlege his existence and listen to him.

Story
Early Life
In his early sweeps, Arzale lived a fairly reclusive, lonely life at the bottom of the Alternian ocean. They spent a lot of their time primarily with their lusus and rarely interacted with other trolls. He kept mostly to himself and his hobbies during that time, but once he figured out how to use the internet, he was able to learn more about the rest of Alternian society and about his high ranking as a troll of the violet caste. It was also through the internet that he was introduced to even more interesting niches to explore, but it was also where he was introduced to the concept of friends and friend groups. Arzale's only real friend until that point was their lusus, but they were curious about what it was like to have other friends who were trolls just like them. He decided to set out and explore the ocean in search of other seadwellers who were willing to befriend him so that they could hang out and do all the things regular trolls did. However, most found him odd at best, and incredibly annoying and overbearing at worst, so he didn't have much luck. Arzale even tried to go to the surface to befriend trolls there, but most lowbloods were put off by his hue and highbloods hated him for being a seadweller. Dejected, Arzale eventually ceased his efforts and shut himself away in defeat, wondering if there really was anyone out there who'd bother to be his friend.
A New Hobby
For awhile, Arzale lived fairly reclusively in his hive and rarely interacted with any of his neighbors. His lusus had stopped hanging around as often and went on more outside trips without him, leaving Arzale more alone than before. However, while he was cooped up in his hive, Arzale had been exploring more of the internet to see what else it had to offer. He used it to pass the time by binging shows and movies which he would later obsesses over. At one point, he dedicated a huge tackboard towards piecing together clues and evidence from the mystery shows he watched in an effort to solve the mystery before the show revealed it. He was almost always accurate with his predictions too, which gave him a feeling of gratification, but he still felt hollow having nobody to talk to about it. However, one night, Arzale was reading through the comments of a theory video when he stumbled across a mention of 'forums' in the comment section. With their interest piqued, they decided to investigate what they were referring to, and that's when they finally discovered a trove of other passionate trolls like him who were just as nerdy and hyperfixated on these shows as he was! Arzale was also introduced to Trollian and Chittr, and after having joined all three, Arzale has been reaching out to other trolls, discussing their theories, and sharing their knowledge with others who actually listen and care! Well, they hopes they care at least. He's accepted the fact that he'll probably never have an in-person friend group, but having a small circle of nerds to talk with online is something Arzale finds enough joy in to suffice.
Land of Lamps and Abyss
LoLaA is a cold, stormy planet that is shrouded in permanent darkness. Storm clouds above block out Skaia's bright light, so the only way to see across the waters is by utilizing the floating lamplights that are scattered across the planet. However, the planet isn't just all water- there are a number of scattered islands and a large, central mainland that rise up above the waves. The magenta seagull consorts have built their cities and towns on the small islands where it's safer and typically avoid the mainland which is crawling with monsters and demons of the dark. However, the monsters aren't just limited to the mainland; there are also a plentiful amount of monsterous, mutated creatures of the void that lurk in the deep abyss below the waters that threaten ships sailing the seas. Because of the limited resources consorts have access to, pirating and thieving are common practice on LoLaA. Yet, there are rumors that the world was not always as dark and dreary as it is today, but these outlandish claims have been relegated to pure fiction. As the Bard of Void of his game session, it is Arzale's mission to follow the ominous enscryption found just outside the mainland's central pit, home to Hecate, Denizen of Void, and "recognize the lie to erase the void." He must use his strong connection to the darkness and to the horrorterrors to unlock the mystery of what happened to not only LoLaA, but to also uncover the mystery of the illness that is plaguing all of the other planets in his game session and find a way to remove the void threatening to consume them all.

Related
Arzale has a decent relationship with his lusus. They were around more when Arzale was younger and needed to be looked after more closely, but nowadays, they don't spend as much time with Arzale. However, they always come back before dawn and enjoy cuddling up beside Arzale to watch TV together.
Arzale managed to squeeze himself into the fuchsia's life by drumming up heated debates in the comment sections of Waylon's Chittr posts. He eventually got the heir's attention and was blocked, but he was determined to get to know him. Once they met up in-person after starting Sgrub, they got to know each other more where he developed caliginous feelings for him.
Arzale first met Hikosi on Alternia when he was relaxing on the shore near his hive. They got into a stone-throwing contest and Arzale was entranced by the fact that this person treated him like a friend and an equal without hardly knowing him. They were able to hang out more and eventually, Arzale started to feel pale towards them, but keeps these thoughts to himself.
