Profile
Waylon Mavret
Basics
Personality
When Waylon was young, he ruled Alternia ruthlessly and with as much maturity as one would expect from a literal child given complete and total control over a whole planet. He was arrogant and always looking for attention while living it up in his royal palace. As he entered teenhood and the approaching deadline for his fated duel with the Empress neared, he receeded away from the spotlight and began to focus more of his time on training, though he wasn't ever properly motivated until the night he discovered his ancestor's secret diary. Within it, Waylon learned of the heir's beliefs, his struggles against the Empress, and his many good ideas for improving Alternia. The more he read, the angrier he felt towards the throne he sat upon and the ruler who he was destined to lose against. In his remaining sweeps on Alternia, he dedicated himself almost solely to training and combat, deadset on usurping the throne from the wicked hag and putting an end to the old tradition. Despite his shifted allegiance, he retains much of his personality from his youth including his short temper, blunt speech, insensitivity, and impulsive decision-making. But, something new that he has gained is the ever-growing feeling of regret.

Story
Early Life
In his early sweeps, Waylon was the kind of heir who followed the typical 'fuchsia heir of Alternia' stereotype: ruthless, cruel, and an strict enforcer of the hemospectrum and the other rules set by the Empress. He was completely entrenched in the power high and followed in the footsteps of previous successful heiresses. He was sold on the belief perpetuated by the Empress that upholding her system was meant to keep stability by having everyone 'stay in their place' which would help Alternia prosper and grow. The main reason he was convinced of this was because he was told that his own ancestor was the previous ruler of Alternia before the current Empress and that he created the system in order to benefit the empire. Loyal to his ancestor, Waylon believed it all...until he discovered an artifact that changed everything. One night, Waylon was snooping around one of the golden statues of the Empress in the royal palace and discovered a secret compartment after accidentally cutting himself on a chip in the statue. As it turns out, the chip was actually a small needle designed to scan the blood it absorbed, and it recognized Waylon as the descendant of his ancestor and opened up its secret compartment to allow him access to an ancient diary bearing his sign.
Changing Allegiances
Upon reading through this diary in secret, Waylon discovered the true nature of his ancestor- an unusually benevolent fuchsia blood who wished to eliminate the hemospectrum and take the power out of the Empress' hands and give it to the people. Waylon was enraged by the lies he had believed, despising the Empress for treating him like a gullible fool. He journeyed out of the palace, curious about the beliefs his ancestor had written about, and secretly investigated various parts of Alternian society including lowblood neighborhood lifestyle and what people of varying castes had to say about the empire. He discovered many highly-talented trolls who felt they couldn't pursue those talents because of the expectations of their caste. Waylon reflected upon his findings and realized that he also felt limited by the expectations of his caste as someone who was expected to be a perfect heir as soon as he hatched. He was robbed of a pupahood and was told to follow the footsteps of those who failed before him. Seething with rage, Waylon lost all of his love and respect for the Empress and sunk away into the palace, refusing to order anymore drone strikes and refusing to show his face unless absolutely necessary. Behind the backs of his own people, Waylon was strategizing ways to cheat his way through the fated trial with the Empress to ensure his victory, knowing the only way to break the cycle would require cheating against a rigged game.
Land of Tempest and Plague
LoTaP is a disease-ridden land where almost all remaining life has either died off or been heavily mutated to adapt to the harsh, toxic environment. The source of the planet's grief, the hideously potent toxins that have ravaged the land, appear to be coming from the large ravines that criss-cross along the surface of the planet. The sky is dangerously charged with electricity and acid rain lightning storms are frequent on this planet. There are a couple small organized establishments, called "safety-villages," where pink geese consorts reside. These places are often run by one or two leaders and are built to give the consorts a little more freedom by trapping most of the toxins outside their walls. Before the planet’s atmosphere became so inhospitable, it appears that there was once booming technology and industry across the land as evidenced by the many vast, abandoned cities that still stand in their ominous glory. As the Prince of Doom of his game session, it is Waylon's mission to completely eradicate the disease and toxins of this planet and restore life to its inhabitants once more. To do this, he must journey down to the planet's core where Moros, the skeletal Denizen of Doom, resides so that he may put the dying denizen out of its misery and restore balance to LoTaP.

Related
Waylon absolutely hates and despises this thing with every fiber of his being. Even in his early sweeps when he was still blindly following the Empress' will, he still hated having to take care of this giant menace and often had his drones carry out all of the feeding work for himself.
Waylon used to love and revere the Empress. However, after he learned about his ancestor's fate and all of the lies she fed him, he switched sides and his love turned to pure hatred. He wants nothing more than to crush her to dust and dance over her bleeding corpse for all that she's done to him and Alternia.
The two trolls met each other when Waylon was a young adult and on the cusp of his fated duel with the Empress. He found the jade incredibly annoying at first but had a change of heart after he was whisked off Alternia and into the game of Sgrub where he had to cooperate with Khaigh to progress. He eventually developed flushed feelings for him.
