Three wolfpacks live in a beautiful land called Mantu.
The staid and rigid Hallahampaat rule the North on a fell of Hallatunturi, the warm and diligent Kaarnekynnet dwell in the eastern forest of Kaarnekorpi, the wild new-comers Ryövärit have settled in the southwest, and in the south, in a deep dark forest of Sysiaarnio, there are dark creatures, like maahiset, who are always hungry and love to kidnap careless wolf pups to eat and leave only their own changeling offspring behind.
Every wolf has their own job in a pack, be it a hunter, a craftswolf, a warrior, a healer, or a shaman.
KAJ
- Unlike most maahiset, Kaj is a pretty harmless and friendly creature. She grew up thinking she's a wolf like any other , and even now she doesn't really understand why they think she'd be scary or dangerous or disgusting.
- Like all maahiset, poisonous mushrooms wont kill or even harm Kaj. Instead she loves them for their taste and psychedelic effect.
Appearance
- Kaj is small, but wide and round. She's quite chubby and has short legs that point slightly inwards.
- She seems very clumsy, and especially her running gait looks more like constantly falling forwards and just barely catching herself before toppling over completely. But in all actualness she's surprisingly very agile and extremely sure-footed. Just not very fast or strong.
- Her coat is rough and sticks up everywhere, and the thick fur makes her look bigger than she actually is. Only her tail is almost pathetically wispy. The fur is grey, darker on the back and lighter on the stomach.
- Her nose and paw pads are blue-ish grey. Her light coloured nails are very short and dull.
- Kaj's eyes are huge, round, pale yellow-green, and she has a tendency to stare. Her ears are very long with pointy tips curling slightly.
- Her snout is short, a roman nose, and her teeth are kinda messed up; her upper canines are very long and stick out of her mouth, the crooked lower front teeth even more so. That makes her speech a bit garbled, especially the S and R sounds. She can't close her mouth fully and drools, a lot.
Fun facts
- Kajastus means shimmer, dawn, glow in finnish. Kaj never introduces herself with her original full name, because it's hard for her to say. Kaj is just a name, but it's pronounced the same way as kai which means probably in finnish.
- Kaj is bi.
- I almost brought Kaj to New Start rpg. If she were a human who could turn into an animal, she'd turn into a boar.
Relationships
Lurkki started as Kaj's mushroom dealer, but they ended up together and maybe had some kids.

Story

Syntyipä kerran eräälle maahiselle poikanen. Erään toisen kerran vain hieman myöhemmin tämä nälkäinen maahisemo totesi ruoan olevan huomattavasti helpompaa hoidettavaa kuin jälkikasvu. Niinpä maahinen vaihtoi tyttärensä herkulliseen sudenpoikaseen. Maahisemo sai vatsansa hetkeksi täyteen ja nuori maahisvauva sai tilaisuuden aivan toisenlaiseen elämään. Kaarnekynteläinen susiemo, jonka hoteisiin maahispoikanen joutui, oli lyhyen ajanjakson sisällä kokenut jo valmiiksi monia vastoinkäymisiä. Ensin sen rakas puoliso oli menehtynyt metsästysonnettomuudessa vain muutaman päivän parin ensimmäisen pentueen syntymän jälkeen. Naaras oli joutunut selviämään yksin kolmen vastasyntyneen pennun kanssa ja polttanut itsensä aivan loppuun niistä huolehtiessaan. Sitten se oli loukannut jalkansa, eikä enää kyennyt hoitamaan ammattiansa, ja pennuista huolehtiminenkin kävi entistä vaikeammaksi. Lopulta syksyn kylmyys vei kaksi kolmesta pennusta. Susiemo huomasi kyllä nopeasti muutoksen viimeisessä pennussaan ja arvasi lähestulkoon heti mitä oli täytynyt tapahtua, mutta ei tahtonut uskoa menettäneensä viimeisenkin jäsenen pienestä perheestään. Niinpä se jätti huomiotta hoidokkinsa kummallisuuden sekä oppimisvaikeudet, ja päätti kasvattaa maahislapsen omana pentunaan. Kajastus-nimen saanut tumma pentu kasvoi hitaasti mutta varmasti emonsa valvovan silmän alla. Emo suojeli sitä turhan uteliailta katseilta, piti sen hitaan kasvamisen salassa laumaltaan ja selitti sen kummallisuuksia sukuvioilla. Kaj'n elämä oli varsin leppoista, se viihtyi susien keskellä ja unohti biologiset vanhempansa ja alkuperänsä kokonaan. Naaraan ensimmäisen talven aikana sen emo kuitenkin sairastui pahasti, ja alkoi tehdä kuolemaa. Kesällä emo sitten vihdoin kuoli, eikä ollut enää tarkasti suojelemassa Kaj'n salaisuutta, jota se itsekään ei edes muistanut.
