Misc
  •  Haoyue is a Chinese name meaning bright moon. It tends to be more of a feminine name
  • Haoyue's constellation, Albus Lotus, translates to "white lotus" from Latin
  • As a sword user, he is not the best. He only picked up a sword in order to prove he can fight like his sister, in truth it didn't work out
  • Adding to the aforementioned, he would prove great as a utility and/or healer.
  • Haoyue surprisingly enjoys sour foods.
  • Usually is never seen with his hair down unless he's in the comforts of his home.
  • When he was young, he learned from his mother how to play the Erhu. Every now and again, he'll still pick it up and play some of the pieces he learned from her.
  • Haoyue's job as the Kaiyang of the Qixing is (vaguely for now) dealing with trade, commerce, and industry within Liyue.

Allow the wind to carry you when your heart is too heavy, traveler.

Haoyue is an original character made for the game Genshin Impact. He is an Anemo Sword user apart of the Sun Clan of Liyue. As a child of a well-off family of the Liyue region, he is held with high expectations as son of this family. He has earned himself a spot as a member of the Liyue Qixing in turn of this, taking on the title of the Kaiyang.

Personality-wise, Haoyue is very calm and collected. People see him as a huge sweetheart, and he truly is but it leans toward his people-pleaser side. He's quick to trust others, bending over backward for them in order to gain their approval. It's a bad habit of his, but now that he is a part of the Qixing, he has since learned to better that and be more assertive. As a part of the Sun family as well as the Liyue Qixing, he's very well-mannered and focuses heavily on good etiquette. Any interactions with him tend to be quite pleasing.

Being born into his family, he had it easy as he was essentially given everything he wanted and needed to be given the wealth his family has. As healthy as his relationship seemed with his mother and father, it quickly took a turn when Haoyue discovers the existence of his father's affair and the unknown presence of his half-sister, Hualing. All happy things he thought he had gone downhill when his mother left and Hualing's mother then took place as his step-mom. Almost as if they were working together to push him completely aside, more attention was starting to be brought upon Hualing while they acted more harshly toward him. He would never get a say or a chance to speak up, but that also didn't stop him from attempting to fit in and even go as far as to act as a big brother to Hualing. [um wip bye this is horrible]

Sun Hualing[half sister]

From the start, the two clashed heads quite a bit. Hualing has always had it easy, getting everything in the family the moment her mother stepped in almost in place of his own. Although they had many problems that often weighed Haoyue down, he couldn't help but still seemingly care for his little sister. It started first to ease into his father's interest but became a habit. As caring as he was with her when they were little, her ego and attitude only made things worse as they grew up.

There's still respect for each other between the two, but they can't stand near each other without starting to make remarks about each other. He gets quite annoyed with her cockiness and overall how irritating she is.

Zhongli [lover]

Haoyue met Zhongli as he began going on duty with the Qixing. Occasionally they would run into each other day after day, and with time, Zhongli began to notice just how familiar he was. (spoiler alert: soulmate AU because I'm trash)  They didn't start to interact much until the two happen to visit the Heyu Tea House almost daily, Yue having the company of Yanli at most times. It was a little random perhaps, but out of kindness did the three start to speak to each other each and every trip they took to the tea house. The more Yue spoke to Zhongli, the more he felt drawn into liking the wise man.

Xiang Zhi [friend/crackship | tokomii]

Regarding Zhi's history and being hunted down by Liyue, he's not very welcome into Liyue nor society in general. He's outcasted from his home, which is something Haoyue found himself relating to Zhi in a way. Empathizing with him, he is more than likely the only Qixing member that accepted him and even let him in. Being in each other's presence makes them feel like they're both at home.

Juda [friend/crackship | PwonPwon]

mad sexy. wip 👁️

Xiao [respectful relationship]

As the lover of Zhongli, Xiao has learned to respect Haoyue. It was a little rough at the start as Haoyue did not like the aura gave off, as well as the fact he was with his sister. Xiao didn't exactly like how prying he was in return. They have since gotten past that phase though, and have learned to at least tolerate each other when they happen to be near.

Tartaglia  [complicated]

From the start, Yue isn't fond of Childe and feels that there is something up with the dude. Not only that, but he doesn't like how close Childe gets with Zhongli, either. Yue keeps his eye on Childe throughout the Liyue Archon story, and turns out his speculations were correct about Childe at the end of the story. Overall, Yue gets rather irritated with Childe especially because he's very similar to his sister Hualing.

Yanli [respectful/friend]

Yanli and Yue are somewhat close and can be seen around Liyue together. Yanli is his direct secretary in the Qixing, some say she even looks as if she's like a guard for him, being that they are side by side often. Outside of the professional atmosphere, they are good friends and even go hand in hand with one being a painter and the other a poet.
