Profile

Jadecarving Wyrm is, above all else, obsessed with the act of creation. She tackles the responsibility of creating art and architecture alike within her adoptive father's realm with a single-minded glee that more than a few have described as "unsettling", "demonic", and "a threat to life and limb". Jade doesn't mind. If people think her process is terrifying that means they'll stay out of her way when she needs the space to do things. While she is unerringly obsessed with creating beauty in her aurroundings, it would be a fatal mistake to treat that as pacifism or weakness--Jade considers martial arts to be well within her purview, and she has used Crimson's knowledge of the basics to springboard into deeper mastery of the Dreaming Pearl Courtesean style than he possesses.

She Exalted at the age of 13, grieving the sudden death of her entire village in a massive flood, the exaltation the only thing that kept her from dying with them. Crimson arrived a day after the disaster, and took her in as his daughter.

While Jade's chosen work is atypical of her aspect, her personality isn't; she is often flighty and has a poor attention span, hopping between several simultaneous jobs as the whim takes her. Outside of architecture, where she generally overplans for potential disasters, she often struggles to plan for the future and tends to live entirely in the "now". She's a poor conversationalist outside of her interests, and struggles to remember new names and faces. She cannot stand most physical contact, though she still generally enjoys being around people she likes, often describing the sensation as overwhelming or (on bad days) "like drowning, but it's people". She has a deep-rooted fear of water, especially rivers, and storms leave her anxious and hair-trigger.

Jade is a short but broad blonde woman with bright green eyes and a faintly greenish cast to her hair and pale skin. Her outfits are generally practical for her work, with no loose cloth/hair or dangling jewelry to get caught on things, and if she's not actively climbing on something she wears heavy-duty protective boots.
