Chapter 0 and 1 of Trapjaw the Terrible, for your reading pleasure!

Written in 2022, a snippet about Pearl and Fishstick I wrote after Trapjaw the Terrible was done. Two(?) years later and not on a time crunch, I had some time to rethink their relationship in the 3rd story, Chainsaw's Quest, where Fishstick was oddly eager to have his crew taken over.

Fern learns about the Queen of Dying (a mythological wasp-beast) and how the wasps view a dark moment in ant history.

Animals are rising from the dead as voids which no light can illuminate. The creatures are violent, deadly, and near impossible to kill.

In their efforts to stop the threat, the Median government sends out everyone it can to investigate. Among them are a wolf, a monkey, and a puffin. Each of these animals has a connection to the scourge, but will it help them stop this menace, or will the voids succeed in eradicating everything?

The start of the curse outbreak... Oh dear. This won't end well.

Disk (full title: CD, Compact Disk), Rewind, and Forward are confronted by two mages once again and some new things are learned.

After a year plus of traveling an abandoned, desolate stretch of space, the crew of the Ursa Major encounter the Harbor space station. It's marginally less abandoned.

The dragon of the house, Dracomarinus the Giant Prawn, fiercely guards his delicious prize of fish flakes and algae pellets. Bullet the velvet ant and Moss the death feigning beetle resolve to steal from right under his nose.

Bushi discovers an intruder in her house.

A mini story about a curious caste of ants and a murder.

A mini story about a bee, a religion based in shapes, and a swarm of flies.

A short tale of how Fern came to be born and how Head Nurse Birch reacted. (From an early draft, the prologue will likely have some differences in the final book!)

Two short drabbles featuring the sorta-characters of Deathborn: the fungi! Fern can hear them talking but they don't say anything interesting until later on...
