THE PANIC STORIES: The antiquated precursor to the PPU

The Panic Stories are a series of sagas set in the late 1950's about Panic, chronicling his adventures from a loner living with the embodiment of fear in his head to a god in physical form who shapes a new reality. In these stories, Panic fights a nemesis he didn't know he had, tries to solve his depression by traveling to the recesses of his mind, attempts to free a girl who's terrified of him from an eldritch infection, and pits an army of all myths ever invented against a god of destruction. 

Story Status: Can't Live With It, Can't Live Without It (aka It's Complicated)

The Panic Stories are old and not well-constructed. I have deemed them and their central character to be unappealing to anyone besides me. Unfortunately, many stories that I actively write for and develop are based off of the events in the Panic Stories, so while I don't plan on telling the actual stories, I do make reference to them frequently in newer works. I've outgrown Panic, but his legacy is here to stay.
