Thank y’all for making this thread blow up!!

Another unpopular opinion

There’s only like two English vocaloid producers that use the software as intended rather than venting through their music. Also Creep-P sucks in terms of music and morality, he’s not skilled or talented imo

99% of songs in animation memes are,,, bad

you don't have to confine yourself to a certain genre jfc, dont be like "I ONLY like rap/edm/rock/whatever" and refuse to listen to anything else

acoustic versions 90% of the time are better than the original song

I don't think Ghost is good and they're overrated. :'D Also rachi and jubyphonic have terrible singing voices, how did they get so popular? The world may never know.

Either the sun goddess and the rat or the living ghost is alive are the best songs utsu p have produced. I've been watching him evolve since 2013 and MAN, has he grown so much in terms of musical performance. It's kinda funny watching him blow up now because I remember just having the Warufuzake album to bang out to starting in last year of middle school/starting of high school and now that he has Renaissance out it's just like "dang I'm old" lmao.

Also extremely unpopular opinion but all of the foreign vocaloid/utau songs that aren't originally english sound a lot better than the english covers, especially when they're going with the language that the program was made for ex: miku for japanese, maika for espanol, big all for english. English covers just grate the ears if you don't do it right, which is like 80% of the time in which I notice. Either that or I keep finding bad covers by the grace of god pffft.

Agree with person above ^

Caravan Palace is awesome, It's kinda sad they are only known for songs like Wonderland and Lone Digger

Kolo

centipede hz was a good album :'(

Oh boy.. you don't just give me access to another unpopular opinion thread. I'm gonna go on another lengthy opinion post annfkgkg

(Before anyone decides to kill me, note I am a musical person and I'm just generally very musically-critical ;u; I also dont stick to certain genres, I like anything and everything that sounds good so I swear these opinions are not biased)

Here goes:

1. Twenty-one-pilots isn't that good. None of their songs (none somehow?) appeal to me.

2. Gorillaz is not good and their songs are really boring. It's def a unique style, but just talking over a beat/background melody is not exactly music I can enjoy listening to. Same reason I dislike a lot of American-style rap songs or certain screamo songs. I need to hear some melody being sung in there TuT "funky" music just doesn't cut it for me.

3. Also kpop isn't just pop, it shouldn't be called k "pop". There's such a variety of Korean bands with different styles other than pop out there that deserve a listen and shouldn't be grouped in as "kpop".

Same for Japanese stuff tbh. It's not just pop-y cutesy stuff. They got some insanely cool metal bands out there. And hands down, Japanese edm is the best type of edm because wow.

4. Certain american pop artists like Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and (others whose names I dont even remember oops) are really only following the generic pop style these days and haven't come out with anything unique or catchy in the last few years.

5. Vocaloid of any type is annoying to listen to, same for nightcore. Again, as someone who does vocal music, it bothers me to hear an unnatural voice singing because my ears tend to focus a lot on people's singing skills. That one's def just me tho sjfjgkg

6. French pop is underrated as heck.

7. Heck, music in lesser-known languages is underrated. German, French, Arabic, Chinese, etc. Pls look them up, there's some awesome songs out there.

Kogami

I can't listen to a lot of Utaite covers because they keep...exaggerating their vocals(?) for some reasons? Not saying they're "worse" than the original Vocaloid version and obviously human vocals are always more natural and mostly better, but some covers can get really experimental to the point it sounds jarring (sometimes unfitting) to hear and I've become a bit picky in what covers I like? (Like the song Outer Science is my worst offender because covers often does screamed vocals that gets too much sometimes).

I will admit I also listen to more Utaite original songs compared to their covers for similar reasons haha

I HATE THE NOISE A SAXOPHONE MAKES!! it grates against my eardrums I hateeeeeeeeee

beyond that idk enough about music to have much of an opinion  '-')

entipikal

Nightcore and daycore are very song dependant and aren't an immediate "the song is better now", I think they can improve songs but only sometimes

As more time goes on I get more and more tired of "edgy for edgy's sake" stuff like Billie Eilish. Her songs are good but they get stale quickly for me

I also agree with the couple of people who have talked about JubyPhonic, I've never been able to like her covers, something about her voice just has never appealed to me

babymetal is metal, yall just afraid of japanese idols
