These are mainly about how people talk about music, but people who really dislike rap and are very vocal about it get on my nerves, I don't even listen to rap but I know that it's just a music genre, there's nothing inherit in it that makes it more vulgar or provocative than non-rap genres, and a lot of people are perfectly fine listening and singing along to songs about drugs, sex, etc., as long as it isn't rap
Also the amount of people who think of Ska music as a "silly white people genre" is frustrating, it literally has its roots in black working-class immigrants and has along history, the checkerboard pattern is supposed to represent black and white people working together
And for my very specific pet peeve, when people talk about how "Video Killed the Radio Star" sounds nostalgic even though they weren't around in the 80s, the song and the whole album are based off of 50s and 60s sci-fi nostalgia (It literally says "Back in 52" at the start of the song) so obviously it's going to sound nostalgic regardless of when you were a kid because that was the intention of the song
And for music itself, I don't really like a lot of 90s music, there is a lot of stuff from the 90s I do like and it's fun to listen to occasionally but compared to the decades before it I think I listen to 1990s music the least out of the 1960s-2010s
