Yep, a COVID-19 vent thread

I normally stay inside so that part doesn't really bother me. I do miss going out occasionally to the arcade to play and have fun, but for my health and my family's health I don't mind staying home.

This panic buying is also nuts here. I wanted a specific type of ramen, and when I went to the grocery store, the whole ramen section was cleared out. There was NOTHING. I just wanted this ramen as a treat for myself but not anymore I guess.

On top of that, my sister is a therapist and a client decided to come in today for a session. Only AFTER the session does the client tell her that they have been exposed to the Coronavirus. So my sister can't visit us at all, cause our brother has bad asthma and our dad has a heart condition. So that's just great. -_-

We have 8 or 9 cases in my city plus like 100 people one watch. My Mom and me are both high risk so I am very stressed out....On top of the panic buyers making me concerned about food issues. But really the people are stressing me more than anything I saw them lining up to buy guns and ammo here and that is so scary.

so uh my school is getting closed for 4 months? i think. we have got some cases in my town and like 25 in the surrounding city. but all schools in Scotland and wales are getting closed for a while and we have to do online homework and stuff. my french teacher wants us to be on the classroom at the same time each Thursday, and like what if I'm busy doing something for my parents or whatever. I am kinda happy my schools closed but still, it will get boring 

Right now in Manitoba, we have 17 confirmed cases, and all of them are still active. Also, we got 11-12 recoveries and 12 deaths in Canada overall. Something must be done.

I'm not worried for myself since I'm young, healthy and painfully introverted. I'm worried for my grandparents because they're old and both of them have had operations recently.

California is officially shut down, go home, go back to bed. We've all got stay home orders here that we just received this morning. Like, officers can pull us over on the highway if we go out on there. I'm not kidding. Here's a screenshot from twitter:

If anyone needs me, I'll be banging my pots and pans in the front yard yelling hell state over and over again.

Please tell me Cali isn't actually going to be on lockdown until May 28th. First of all, that means school is screwed and I never thought I'd say this but, wow I want school back.. Second of all: BTS's California concert is(was?) supposed to be on May 2-3..

ALRIGHT TIME FOR ME TO JOIN THE RIOT. YOU CAN TAKE MY TOILET PAPER BUT YOU CAN'T TAKE MY GODDAMN KPOP. My mental state will decline even quicker because kpop was the only thing keeping me mentally stable for years and counting and if I lose that happiness streak for a single year im going to fall back into depression (and I already have been). No, I'm not kidding. I'm going to go insane.

Either stuff better get postponed or we better shorten this pointless lockdown.

I guess on the bright side, I have an excuse as to why I was already failing classes in school this year so nobody is going to look too hard into my sudden drop in GPA because it happens during the 2020 year. Also no one's judging me and my mom anymore for constantly keeping several large bags of toilet paper in our closet at all times or having an emergency food stash that basically takes up most of said closet. Now we have an advantage-

Either way this whole thing is pointless and getting way too out of hand and I can tell everyone else is thinking the same thing and that is: Please let this be over soon.

Yeah, my birthday is May 3 and I live in California so I don't think I can host a birthday party. Also, so many things are going on at my school that had to be potponed or cancelled. Our church is being renovated and it was supposed to be done by Easter Sunday mass. Our DC trip was originally going to be April 1-10 but now we don't when it'll be. Also, this was supposed to be the first time I actually had Science Fair (my teacher forgot in 6th grade and we didn't do it in 7th grade) but now it is officially cancelled. But hey, Zoom can be fun sometimes for school.

Canada now has over 1000 cases of Coronavirus. There has been at least 12 deaths over there too. This isn't going well.

my mom was recently laid off which means that i (at 17) am the primary source of income for my family. which sucks, cause we’re already low-income to begin with and i don’t work a lot because of school. but that’s fun i guess

woman at my work tested positive for COVID-19. Two family members I live with work with her daughters at a different job. 

The mother has been sick with symptoms for about two weeks and these girls have still been going to work despite living with and knowing their mother is sick. ;;;;
