i used to like dream before he blew up and got super popular and made a smp and all that stuff. once he blew up i stopped liking him :/
needless to say i dont dabble in minecraft content anymore
Exactly what the title said. What popular and mainstream things were you (and still are) a fan of before they hit the mainstream and exploded into popularity?
I'm admittedly curious about what things you guys are the OGs of.
(Just found this thread and skimmed through it, but:)
Minecraft: Been playing since alpha in 2010, kinda stopped for a while once microsoft bought it.
(Back in my day, there was no labels for anything, and I tried to make torches with flint, because they looked so similar)
Sailor moon: I was watching this back in ~2000, had a costume and staff and everything
(only started watching other anime in 2013, not sure if that's "before mainstream" or not...)
And I don't think anyone has mentioned a food before?
Pearl tea/bubble tea/boba/whatever you people call it: been drinking that stuff since ~2000, only thing that's changed is the line up to get it now.
animal jam? i joined only a few weeks after the release date, though my first account has been lost since i used a fake email... .w."
also umm cookie run? i played ovenbreak for a bit before crk came out and blew up. i wasnt an avid fan tho, only played it sometimes
danny gonzalez and unus annus! i watched danny during his vine days before he got popular there, and i watched unus annus since day 2
frogs? this one is a bit weird and iffy ig lol. i liked frogs when everyone thought they were gross >:)
hopping on the minecraft band wagon... kinda. i played it during that weird time where if you played minecraft you were weird and unlikeable. pretty much before mcyt got popular with dream and stuff
