animals are great, and OCs that own animals/pets are even better! So: show them off! And yes, farmers and farming animals count too! And also more alien species of course.

I have two characters who own pets:
Dylan owns a pet bird he creatively named Cheep. The bird is a robot, not a real bird but due to the advanced technology in Dylan's verse, the bird is nearly indistinguishable from a real one. Cheep resembles a Racket-tailed roller bird, and Dylan loves him to death and spoils him as much as you can spoil a bird that doesn't need to eat.
Feri owns way too many pets to list, he owns a wyvern named Strawberry, a skeletal horse named Blueberry, a young cloud serpent named Pancake, a very fat moth named Fluffy and about several hundred other moths that he has been breeding for years now. He is just a bit obsessed with moths, and housing so many moths has become an issue when most of the moths are nearly the size of cats and a few are size of large dogs due to selective breeding that Feri has been working on.
Emese owns a bunch of chickens and a goat
Ezra and Jackie own a cat Bagel
Frieda has a borzoi
Hendrick has a big ol hunting dog
Nero has... whatever the fuck Trevion is
Sugar owns two tigers and a shark lmao
and Zakki with Kazana have cat Kai and dog Bear
i really gotta give designs and names to a bunch of them but I always forget about that rip
He has a big dog named Sergei, that's also in his art! He's blind but Sergei isn't really a seeing eye dog...he just kind of...found him.
The story also takes place in a fantasy world so Sergei is some sort of...fantasy dog. But still a dog!
I'll try to list those that I can remember...
- Anastasia has had tarantulas... she thinks they're adorable and fluffy.
- Anita 'owns' a stray cat named Mars who climbed in through the window of her dormitory one evening, looking for food. Since then, he's shown up semi-often, three or four times a week. Anita isn't the biggest animal fan, but she got used to him.
- Kaitlin has two cats: a ginger kitten named Agatha and an old male tortoiseshell named Tango.
- Eldritch has a giant stork-like bird that's native to his homeland.
- Rex used to have several cats - six in total, though not all at the same time.
- Sandra has a goldfish named Fish. (She's had enough of them throughout her life that she ran out of name ideas.)
- Sheldon keeps woodlice, snails, caterpillars, things like that.
- Truman used to have a Labrador named Claude when he was a kid.
- Zach used to have a pet baby shark... then it got too big to keep in a giant tank and he had to release it.
Well Minka technically has a royal menagerie, but i really haven't figured out what all those creatures are gonna be yet so we'll just table that lmaoooo
Her favorite though!! Is a little manta creature named Delta! He is technically her steed and can talk, but he speaks in an ancient language that Astarians have long since forgotten. She absolutely adores him, and would do anything for him.
Thya doesn't have any formal pets, per say, but she does have an impressive space lizard that she randomly caught one day. It took a liking to her and stuck around her ship, providing both a source of entertainment/companionship and an extra ride in case something happens to her ship.
Wasp has the cutest little black kitten named Miko (Who can be seen in 3 of his art pieces). He absolutely adores the little guy, and they're both super comfortable with each other. He also talks to Miko like he's a person. No baby voice or anything, just things like "I have no clue how you got tangled in that net, considering I remember it being on the shelf that your short self definitely can't reach. Regardless, you're a stupid little boy for surrendering to your weird urges." and the like. He also likes to bring Miko outside with him, and the boy's usually pretty content to just lay in his pocket or be carried around.
